Description
It was an intensely white hospital room, white cabinets, white walls, white floors, and a white bed. On that bed was a girl who looked as if she could be thirteen and forty at the same time. Of course according to her record she was actually on the verge of seventeen. Her eyes were large and a dark blue color and she had brown hair that was in a large mess. There were cuts and bruises all over her pale skin, and a rather nasty one across her cheek, almost touching her next to bloodless lips. She wasn't on the verge of death or anything, well at least not anymore, she was actually a severe trauma patient, and she also suffered from amnesia. The only thing blocking out the blinding whiteness were what seemed to be millions of bright balloons, stuffed animals, and cards. Looking back at the girl, she looked stressed. An almost panicky look filled her face and she had backs under her eyes. Her eyes were also puffy and red, as if she had been crying. A creak signaled yet another person was entering the room. Instantaneously she snapped back into tears and started speaking.
"I'm sorry I don't know you okay. I don't remember anyone or anything I'm sorry if you know me but I. Don't. Know. You. And if you're a cop then shut up and leave because I've told you absolutely everything I know." The whole time she didn't look up once.
"Seems like that wasn't the first time you said that today." The deep voice caused her to jump, or it didn't, maybe it was just the tone of the voice that shocked her. All she knew is that she had chills for a second. Looking up she saw a man who seemed to be in his late 20's. He had broad shoulders with tan skin, and matching brown hair and eyes. His face was sarcastic but there was an underlying seriousness his eyes couldn't hide. Although the look on his face still made the girl get angry. She wiped the tears from her eyes and gave him a death stare.
"Of course I've said that a lot, there have been so many people coming in saying their all related to me somehow or I'm they're best friend but I honestly don't remember anything. I don't know what they're expecting from me; all I know is that I'm not giving it to them." She hissed at the man, but it seemed as if she were addressing the world more than him. To her surprise he smirked. This just pissed her off more. She felt like punching this odd man, he was different then who she had seen so far, all of them had cared and wanted her to get better, they were all so similar. This one was cold, and she didn't like it much.
"Well that's the Lehfie I know," He chuckled. Her name was Lehfie Jones according to the record; her birthday was October 13th, 1994; born in San Diego, California. She knew all that, well she accepted all that but didn't remember it, none of it really mattered to her. Again though, there was that tone in his voice that made her react to his voice. Before she could think more the man continued ", I also highly doubt any of those people even know you."
Well that was kind of a shock; they all said they knew her. But it dawned on her it could very well be possible they didn't know her, and were just saying so. Why they would do that exceeded her, but it was starting to get harder for her to think. Deciding it was easier she just stayed silent, but so did he until it annoyed her.
"So how exactly do you know me than?" she asked in a know-it-all tone, she didn't like him, so she wanted to prove she was smarter. Something told her she was smart, though she was unsure what. The man's face kept that same smirk; she wanted more than ever to wipe it off his smug face.
"Classified" he stated. Oh great another cop. He didn't look like a cop, and he definitely didn't feel like a cop. Clicking his tongue he looked at his giant watch that looked rather expensive. "Well I guess that's enough with the chit-chat, any longer we'll be late and no one wants that, or else it's off with their heads right."
He looked at her as if I were supposed to understand, she honestly thought it was a cruel joke. The man just rolled his eyes. "I was hoping you'd be more fun after you lost your memory but I guess that's not happening."
This was probably the first time he moved from that spot towards her. She sat up kind of higher and braced herself as if ready for a fight. What he did stunned her for a sec, he pulled out her I.V in a quick motion and it hurt so badly. A quick gasp escaped her mouth until he put a cotton ball and tape over it. Her eyes widened and she stared at him horrified.
"What are you doing?" she exclaimed. He quickly cut her off
"Names John just so you know. There's really no time for questions or formalities it's just about high time we go." He said with a sly smile. She got up, wobbly on her legs but she could still walk. Truthfully, she had a very bad feeling about this, but she couldn't really object, because he had pulled out a gun.
Lucky for her he didn't point it at her. He motioned for her to get behind him and she obliged, walking on her wobbly legs. She didn't look weak though, other than the fact she was wearing a hospital garment that could very easily tear loose at any moment, she actually looked the opposite. Her muscles were very prominent especially for someone so young. She was also slightly taller than John's shoulders, which was pretty tall. It was really only her face that gave her away. Large eyes, baby cheeks, small nose, and large lips all made her look very innocent, like she couldn't hurt a fly.
They walked down an old hallway for a few minutes before they reached a young nurse with a cart, she had dark hair and eyes and seemed to be of some Latino assent. It was all very quick. She turned around. Her eyes widened. Her mouth opened. There was an earsplitting noise. She was lying on the floor with a pool of blood; with her eyes once full of life, forever glazed and open. Her smile had definitely disappeared though.
Oddly, Lehfie didn't feel anything. She knew she should probably feel sad, or angry at him for killing an innocent person, but she wasn't. It was as if she were in some sort of odd focus. The person didn't matter, nobody else mattered, nothing mattered, just get out. Those words sounded familiar, but from where she was unsure, but she was unconcerned with that silly topic.
What she really didn't want was being found. Because of the noise, somebody had to be coming, and they could fight back. John didn't really seem worried though, he just kept walking, so she clinged as closely as she could to him. Oddly no one came, and she was starting to feel paranoid.
How big was this hospital anyway, it felt as if they had been walking forever. Down hallways, and stairs, again and again and again. Why couldn't they just use the elevator or something simple like that? And she couldn't even do anything to pass the time, John didn't let her talk.
As if her mind had been read they saw three doctors, two men and one woman, farther along the hallway. She froze. It was odd though, it was if they didn't hear the gunshots earlier, they were just laughing as if they were having a good time. Would John kill them too? It was likely, so she just kept following him, having to walk a little faster to catch up. Was she afraid? Why would she be afraid? These people couldn't hurt her anyway, but this gnawing sensation of fear, frightened her more.
They didn't notice them. Lehfie and John were walking on the opposite side of the old white walls, she was beginning to really dislike white, squeezing past them. Were they blind or what? Nonetheless, they walked past without notice. She went to ask him how they didn't notice, but he shushed her yet again, and left her to guess.
She saw they were almost to the ground floor. To get out, there would be a lot of people, and she was certain they all weren't blind. The only people they had seen so far was the lady up on floor seven, her floor, and the people on floor three. How were they going to handle all the patients and workers on the ground floor? Killing twenty innocent people and children didn't appeal to her much, but neither than being found.
John stopped in front of the door, and then he spoke in what seemed to be forever. This whole time he was absent of that annoying smirk and the serious look hidden in his eyes had appeared.
"You've been doing good so far, keep it up. But if you see one person look directly at you, run as fast as you can." He said in almost a whisper. She wondered what she had been doing well; maybe she was just being good following his orders. He opened the door, and she saw the main lobby. It was pretty crowded with probably more than twenty people. The door really wasn't too far away, but under their circumstances, it seemed a mile away.
Quickly they started moving. She found herself constantly looking back and forth. Nobody seemed to notice them and they were halfway there. They had to weave through all the people, so it took a little longer. But they were halfway through, halfway out, halfway to uncertainty, halfway to not knowing who she was, where she was going, or what she was going to do. Why was she even following him? He could be a pedophile, and she already knew he was a murderer, maybe he was the one who did this to her.
She had snapped out of her focus, back into the real world, and a little boy who could be no older than four, stared right at her. He was sitting on a blue chair right next to his mom. This little boy was innocent and could never hurt her, but she had been caught, and she was absolutely terrified. She understood now, they couldn't get caught, and she had been caught. So she bolted, shoving people aside, drawing even more attention to herself.
Adrenaline pumped through her veins, and she ran as fast as she could. The short hospital gown didn't even bother her, though she was sure she wasn't wearing underwear. She was almost to the door when she felt someone grab her and she screamed and squirmed. People around her were screaming too, and it was all so unreal, she felt for a second as if she were in a dream. This dream was just carrying her across, with no real direction, and she didn't like not being in control
This person dragged her outside, the sunlight was nearly blinding. There was a black limo with dark tinted windows, the person opened one of the doors and threw her in. In a split second she turned around and saw the man that was carrying her was John. She just erupted, she was beyond pissed, she was beyond scared, and she was just so confused.
"WHY? WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?!" she screeched scowling. Her breathing was heavy and her vision was blurred. He did the worst thing she could've possibly thought of, he smirked.
"Because your special Lehfie," and he shut the door.

Wow. This seems like an engaging story for a book, or even a series! It was quite interesting to imagine all of this, and I'm still wondering what may happen next.
And then my inner beta fishy kicked in, and I noticed a few grammar errors, but not a lot.
Ah, "Latino assent", for one, is actually "Latino descent", I believe.
