Description I'm not particularly fond of my nebula in this one

For untold centuries those who could see the heavens were the Shepard for all the people, until the day of reckoning came. Now all that remains are the lights which mark those gone...just dust and echoes...

Great otherworldly environment there, certainly gives it an eerie vibe with a sense of curiousity to explore it. The landscape really is one of the best depictions of an alien environment I've seen in a while, with its depth, forms and lighting. The space scenery is also apt (and I liked the "just dust and echoes..." part of the story), though you're right that the nebulae could be tweaked a little. It looks a bit burnt in spots - some dodge tool and a bit of soft blurred light could help it I think, otherwise it has nice forms and the flares have a nice look to them. Also the image could benefit from the horizon fading into the nebulae a bit better - it looks like it's been erased in a rectangular fashion to the left, it would be better if that was just filled with atmospheric lighting. Great work overall however, the alien scenery is spectacular!

Yes I thought some of the transition elements were a little slap-dash. I'm already begun work on the spiritual successor for this piece for the next Attrius artpack. As for the burned areas, seems like I could have drop the opacity a bit on the layers involved in addition to your dodge suggestion. Thank you very much James, I'm honoured that someone with your talent took the time to stop by and critique.

Oh yeah, I saw this in AngelAsylum's gallery...so the nebula was YOURS was wondering who made it. the overall colour and lighting of the nebula is nice, but yeah, maybe not your best, it looks a bit artificial. I love whoever made the landscape though, it looks so surreal

nice work overall!

Ya I personally hate it, more of something out of desperation, let's say the spiritual successor for this is coming along nicely, but won't be seen until the next art pack.
