Description (Note this is an alternate thing on imagining what if the Solar System had more planets, with different orbits and so on. This is fictional, not real.)

Inner Sol System

The Sol System is for the most part divided into two parts being the Outer Sol System (past the Asteroid Belt) and the Inner Sol System (as shown entirely here).

In total the Inner Sol System has 7 planets being Fornax, Mercury, Venus, Terra, Bellona, Juno, and Pomona. Two of which have life on them which are Venus and Terra.

Fornax

The innermost planet in the Sol System as well as the closest planet to the Sun. It is a tidally locked planet that is scorching hot on the "Eternal Lightside" and still somewhat hot but albeit lesser on the "Eternal Darkside". It has some geographical features on the "Eternal Darkside" being a few active volcanos, lava fields and craters. But overall there is nothing else of importance on Fornax due to how extremely inhospitable it is that even man-made probes can't even withstand the heat for more than 20 minutes.

Fornax has been noticed by humans since Antiquity, the Greeks referred to it as "Hephaistos", Babylonians referred to it as "Girra" after their god of fire, Indians referred to it as "Agni", and the Chinese referred to it as "Huoxīng" which translates to "Fire Star". However the Romans would refer to it as "Fornax" after the Roman goddess of the furnace, as Roman astronomers believed since it orbited close to the Sun it must be therefore extremely hot like a furnace.

Fornax takes 81 days to orbit around the Sun, and is approximately 4,735 kilometers in diameter, which makes it the smallest planet in the entire Sol System.

Due to orbiting extremely close to the Sun, it doesn't have any moons. Originally in the 1860's to 1910's astronomers believed that Fornax had a tiny moon called "Cacus" but it was disproven as many realize it was an optical illusion casted onto telescopic glass.

Mercury

The second planet from the Sun, and is somewhat at the very least less hotter than Fornax. Mainly due to the fact it takes Mercury a total of 105 days to complete it's orbit. Furthermore Mercury rotates on its axis albeit it slowly that it is calculated that a day on Mercury lasts 84 hours.

Other than that much of Mercury is a barren world with many craters which indicates a violent past history during the early days of the Sol System. However internally Mercury is unique as it has a very large core that takes up much of its internal structure. This leads scientists to suggest that a long time ago Mercury was a victim of a collision with another smaller planet, which lead to Mercury's core having to reform in larger size.

Water has been found in small isolated caves within the polar regions of Mercury, which has led humans to make proposed future explorations to Mercury in the far future. Whether this will happen only time can really tell.

Mercury's diameter is 4,879 kilometers which makes it the second smallest planet in the Solar System.

The planet itself has been widely known among humans since ancient times, Greeks referred to it as "Stilbon" or "Hermes", Babylonians referred to it as "Napu", in Hinduism the god Budha often represented the planet, and the Chinese referred to Mercury by the name "Shuixīn" which translates to "Water Star". However it would be the Romans who would give it the name it is often commonly referred to today being Mercury, as the messenger god.

Venus

A beautiful world that is often called by humans as the "Sister Planet" of Terra, due to how it is very similar in climate and biomes (from subtropical forests, rainforests, savannahs, deserts, mountains, plains, and oceans). Furthermore it is the only other planet in the Sol System with a atmosphere completely the same of that of Terra's, making it no issue for humans to breathe. Furthermore Venus is the only other known planet known to humans that has life on it, which some of the native Venusian flora and fauna look somewhat identical to that of life on Terra, albeit the major difference is the bivalves have evolved to grow larger eyes and breathe air as one major fauna. Along with tons of other unique life ranging from crabs with wings, trilobites still living to present day and so on. Furthermore Venus is also an example of having some few cases of panspermia from Terra to Venus or vice versa as science shows.

With this said Venus has been regarded as the most important planet in the night sky to humans since ancient times. Greeks referred to it as "Phosphorus" and "Hesperius" which represented the Morning and Evening Star, until it was later realized they were both the same object, the Babylonians referred to Venus as "Ishtar" after their goddess of beauty and warfare, the Indians called Venus by the name "Shukra", and the Chinese referred to it by the name of "Jīnxīng" which translates to "Metal Star".

It wouldn't be until the invention of the telescope when humans got a better look at the beauty of Venus, seeing it being blue and green. Some people especially some Christians even saw Venus as either the Garden of Eden where Adam and Eve originated from or saw it as the location of Heaven itself.

However it wouldn't be until the 1960s, when the first Soviet expedition Venera 1 successfully landed on Venus's surface showing photographs of trees and grass savannah. This would ultimately lead to colonization of Venus as during the Cold War, the United States, Soviet Union, along with nations such as the People's Republic of China, France, Brazil, Canada, India, Britain, and Japan colonizing it as well in some aspects. Eventually however by the late 1980's, many colonies on Venus would declare independence via referendum without little or no bloodshed. Currently as of 2022 AD, there are 17 independent sovereign recognized countries on Venus, the largest of which is the Federal Republic of Fusang which was formerly a colony of the People's Republic of China until 1987, which was able to gain independence by referendum and agreement with Beijing. Since then Fusang has become a great nation that has better living standards, better civil rights, pro-multilingual, and is a social democracy.

As of 2022 AD, the population of Venus is estimated to be around 412 million people, seeing colonization of Venus would only begin in the early 1970s. Furthermore there are strict military laws on Venus such as prohibition of nuclear weapons, in order to respect the native flora and fauna.

As for other data, Venus is approximately 12,405 kilometers in diameter, making it a little bit smaller than Terra. But despite that it really isn't a big deal for human colonists as the gravity is almost the same like on Terra, so it therefore doesn't cause a issue. Venus takes approximately 225 days to complete its orbit around the Sun, furthermore a day on Venus lasts approximately 27 hours.

Venus also has a companion being its moon Eros, which helps with Venus's tides. Eros was discovered by Galileo Galilei in 1610, which he gave it the name "Eros" in honor of the son of Aphrodite in Greek mythology (seeing Aphrodite's Roman equivalent is Venus).

Terra

The home of mankind itself, and is also the only other planet known to have life (besides Venus). Terra has many oceans, forests, deserts, tundras, mountains, rivers, savannahs, and lakes. In total it has 7 continents being North America, South America, Europe, Africa (where Humans originated from), Asia (most largest in size in area and largest in population), Australia, and Antarctica, along with having 5 oceans being the Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean, Pacific Ocean (being the largest of them), Arctic Ocean, and the Southern Ocean.

Terra has been called by many names throughout history used by humans, often being "Earth" but the name would later fall out of use by the 1920s, as the name "Terra" became more globally accepted as it translates to "land".

Terra takes approximately 365 days to complete a full orbit around the Sun, which is basically what humans call a "year" for them which they divide via a total of 12 months, made up of weeks which have 7 days. Furthermore a day on Terra lasts 24 hours long and it's diameter is 12,742 kilometers.

Terra also has two moons the largest of which is Luna which helps play an important role in tides and life on Terra. Furthermore humans have explored the moon of Luna, which ultimately led to the Soviets sending the first man named Ibrahim Ushonov to Luna in 1968 (he was only 26 years old when he went to Luna), which made him the first human to step foot on another celestial body. As such he is often considered one of the greatest men to ever live and is respected by many humans.

The second and smallest moon of Terra is the moon Artemis which is 93 kilometers in diameter, and orbits around Terra far enough away to not be effected by Luna's gravity. Scientists believe that Artemis must of been a asteroid that Terra captured in Neolithic times, as people have found old cave paintings that show scenes of Luna and another bright object appearing suddenly in the sky. Artemis would be known to ancients by various names, but eventually the name "Artemis" would become the universal name for it.

Bellona

The fifth planet from the Sun, and smaller than Terra and Venus in size. Bellona is a red desert world which is covered in sandy deserts, a large vast canyon called Valles Marineris, many extinct volcanos the largest of which is Olympus Mons as it is the tallest mountain by height in the Sol System. Bellona also has a notable northern and southern ice cap which expands and retreats by seasonal change in it's orbit around the Sun.

The reason for Bellona's red appearance is due to its large traces of iron material. Furthermore dust storms and dust devils are common occurrence on the planet. However despite this Bellona has huge evidence that indicates former river beds, former sea beds and former lakes from a ancient past, which scientists believe that a long time ago Bellona used to have oceans of liquid water, but due to the planet having a weak magnetosphere ultimately led to the water evaporating and drying up. However scientists also believe that water in liquid form might still exist on Bellona albeit underground where conditions are right, and therefore be highly likely to have life in some microbial form.

Since ancient times people have referred to Bellona by many names, the Greeks called it by the either the name "Pyroeis" or "Enyo", the Babylonians called it the name "Nergal", Indians called it by the name "Mangala", and the Chinese referred to the planet as "Tiexīng" which translates to "Iron Star". However the Romans would ultimately call it Bellona after the Roman goddess of war, and the name stuck since then.

Humans have been exploring Bellona albeit via robotic rovers or by satellites that photograph it's surface. Since the 1960's, people have proposed many manned missions to Bellona and even possible colonization of the red planet. However this is still yet to happen due to politics and what not, but also the fact that Venus is seen more important than Bellona.

Bellona's diameter is approximately 6,779.04 kilometers, and has a orbital period of 687 days.

Furthermore it has four moons being Mars, Nike, Deimos and Phobos.

Mars it the largest of the bunch as it is believed to have been form by a impact similar to how Eros was formed and how Luna was formed via planetary collision. Mars is was discovered by Galileo Galilei in 1611, which he named it "Mars" after the Roman god of war and husband of Bellona.

Other moons are Nike, Deimos and Phobos, all three of them are believed to be captured asteroids. Nike is named after the Greek goddess of victory, Deimos is named after the Greek god of dread and terror, and Phobos gets it's name from the Greek god of fear.

Juno

The sixth planet from the Sun, and is a barren world with a tiny atmosphere that is barely breathable. However it is very notable for having many craters, valleys, ravines and canyons. Juno has also confirmed underwater lakes located deep within the ground, which could have microbial life residing in them.

Juno has been known to humans since Antiquity, the Greeks called it "Hera", Babylonians referred to it as "Gula" after their goddess of healing, Indians referred to the planet by the name "Shashthi" after the Hindu goddess who protected children and infants, and the Chinese referred to it as "Língxīng" which translates to "Spirit Star". However the name given it by the Romans being "Juno" would eventually become the common name to refer to it in academics.

Humans have never landed people here, but there are some proposals made by the US back in the 1980s to do so, but was not approved by Congress. However the US would instead create the Hera Program to which it would launch Hera 1 and Hera 2 in 1984 which arrived to Juno and took closer pictures of it.

The planet Juno is approximately 7,329 kilometers in diameter, making it larger than Bellona. It takes a total of 68 hours to complete a single day on its axis, and furthermore it completes it's orbital period around the Sun every 1,086 days.

Juno has three moons all of which are believed to be captured asteroids, being Juventas, Argus, and Ilithyia. Juventas gets it name for the Roman goddess of youth and childhood, who was also Juno's daughter in Roman mythology. Argus gets it's name from the male loyal servant and helper to Hera in Greek mythology. Ilithyia is named after the Greek goddess Eilithyia who is the goddess of midwifery and childbirth and one of Hera's daughters.

Pomona

The seventh planet in the Sol System as well as being the last planet in the Inner Sol System. It is 6,633 kilometers in diameter making it smaller than Juno, but has a longer orbital period being a total of 1,585 days.

Pomona is a unique world as it is called by scientists as a "methane planet" due to the fact of its orangish hue in appearance via satellite or telescope. For centuries people wondered why Pomona was "orange" in appearance, to which eventually this would be answered in the 1950's, when observations noted traces of methane in the atmosphere which explains it's orange color.

Pomona is also notable for having lakes of liquid methane (which was discovered in 1995 by NASA's Centaur satellite), having sandy dunes in some areas, as well as having rivers of liquid methane. It is also known that it also rains liquid methane too on the planet which indicates a precipitation system. However despite this Pomona is a cold world, which water freezes faster.

Pomona was seen by the naked eye of humans since Antiquity, the Greeks called it by the name "Karpo" being the goddess of fruit, Babylonians called it by the name "Nisaba", Indians called it by the name "Parvati" after their goddess of harvest in Hindu mythology, and the Chinese referred to it as the "Lizixīng" which translates to "Plum Star" as it was monitored yearly to know when harvest was to be done. Later on the Romans would come to name the planet as "Pomona" which is the Roman goddess of fruit, and since then the name stuck.

Pomona has one single moon being named Vertumnus, which was discovered in 1823 and named after the Roman god of growth and Pomona's husband. It is also believed to be a captured asteroid.

Asteroid Belt

The Asteroid Belt is the division between the Inner Sol System and Outer Sol System, being home to millions if not billions of asteroids. The largest asteroid is Ceres being 1,243 kilometers in diameter, while it's orbital period is 1,682 days. Other notable asteroids include Vesta, Chronos, Iris, Amun, Feronia, Bacchus, and Shen due to them being discovered in the early 1800s and being mistaken for new planets until it was realized they were not and hence resulted in the creation of the term "asteroid".

These notable asteroids (minus Shen as it is named after the Ancient Egyptian hieroglyph) get their names from either Roman, Greek, or Egyptian deities. Ceres is named after the Roman goddess of agriculture, Vesta is named after the Roman goddess of the hearth, Iris is named after the Greek goddess of rainbows and color, Chronos is named after the Greek god of time, Bacchus is named after the Greek god (albeit with the Romanized name of "Bacchus" instead of Dionysus) of wine, Feronia is named after the Roman goddess of wildlife and freed slaves (as it was discovered by an American astronomer in 1867, three years after the end of the American Civil War), and Amun is named after one of the Egyptian gods of the Sun.
