Since my circadian rhythm is already fucked up, I decided to draw all night xD You can never get enough DenPru, now, can you ?Anyway, for once, I used references, kinda (So the anatomy is probably way better than it usually is xD). They are all based on different pictures of me and some of my friends. What better way to portray an epic friendship than to let yourself get inspired by real life relationships?
I did them all pretty quickly (not like 10 minutes, this is considering my normal drawing speed... which is... slow xD)
You have no idea how much I enjoyed doing this
- Let me know if you're interested in me doing more of these scribble thingies of them ^^!
More DenPru scribbles:
I ADORE gangster Prussia. If you do to, have some more, please:

I remember when her roommate found them she told him they were for stopping nosebleeds, and later on the guy has a real nosebleed and is sitting all nonchalant in the dorm with it shoved up his nose.
But it's been a few years since I've seen that and my thoughts are still swirling with that coke Super Bowl commercial and the prospect of a second blizzard hitting us tomorrow.Β

I should seriously rewatch that movie. It was one of my favorites.
What's an efterskole in Danish? Give me all the knowledges.
Oh God my pride would never let me stuff a tampon up my nose! I'd just pinch my nose together. Heck, I don't even wear bandanges unless a trip to the hospital is involved. I just let things heal on their own because I think the methods look stupid. xD
But I need this snowday. I have a huge US history assignment due tomorrow that I did not actually know was due until yesterday.
Lol, I walked all the way up my street to the bus stop and I was sliding all over. And I missed the dang thing by two whole minutes and my brother started yelling at the air. So I took the walk of shame back down and just drove lol.
I was just watching the news (for snow info, but crap they're just talking about Facebook's aniversary), and it's talking about how European weather forecast devices are more accurate than on our side of the pond. You guys knew Hurricane sandy was coming to NJ a week before it happened, where we only knew a few days before. Dayum gimme some Euro weather forecasting--- this snow is important! xD
If not, there's a chance I might be "sick" tomorrow. Wish me to feel better, eh?

It is really funny xD I have it one DVD (Feel like I say that every time we talk about movies xD! Makes me so proud of myself, lol xD!!!!)
Oh God, now you're gonna get it... Are you prepared? (Wiki, help me XD)
- An efterskole (literally "afterschool") is a unique Danish independent residential school (yay wiki xD). Students from around 14-18 of age can go to an afterschool. Depending on the afterschool (and your own wish), you can stay there from 1-3 years. Most go to an afterschool the year before they go to high school (most 1-2 years. 3 years are pretty uncommon.) I went to an afterschool instead of attending a regular 10th grade (the grade you go to just before high school). That's how most do it since 10th grade is not compulsory due to the fact that it's kinda just a year of revision. So if you go in 10th grade, you have time to relax and just enjoy being there. It's a lot harder to go in 9th grade 'cause you'll have lots of exams (you still have to go through everything people in normals school go through) and thereby a lot less time to chill.
The difference between a normal school and an afterschool is that you live at the afterschool and you can choose an afterschool that appeals to your own interests (music, art, sports, etc..) My afterschool was a school that focused on theater, music, singing and dancing. I was on the music study line.
When you stay at an afterschool, you're sure to create really close bonds with your fellow students 'cause you'll be around each other 24/7 and many make bonds for life and some even end up getting married.
You usually share a room and bathroom with many other people - but how many you share with is very different depending on the school. I shared a room with 3 other people and shared a bathroom with my roommates and 4 others girls whose room where next to ours (we were lucky 'cause we and 8 other people were the only ones with a small shared bathroom.) We lived in the "boys' dorm" since we were too many girls that year to all fit in the girls' dorm. Which is probably why we were lucky enough to get the more private bathroom facilities. There lived 4 people in most rooms. All the boys (and my roommates and "bathroom neighbors" xD) lived down stairs and the girls lived upstairs. Two bathrooms upstairs and two downstairs which all the others had to share with each other (Yay, group showering xD - us with the more private bathroom could do that too, though. I've attended more than one collective shower xD Pretty fun.)
The teachers have night shifts so they can keep an eye on us ('cause we do a lot of "natterend" - which you don't have a word for as far as I know. It just means we get up at night to socialize and go to each others rooms to do different stuff.) At my school, they weren't very strict so you usually didn't get caught. Just like you have to lie in bed all day if you turn in sick - and you can't use your computer D: - but since nobody checks, we do it anyway.
Here're some examples of what we did on my afterschool: join a band (I founded the band "No Meaning" with 3 others - feat. 1 other at times xD) (most people on the music study line joined a band) I played the bass and sang. In my music class band (- those were forced), I played the guitar, drums and sang depending on what songs we were rehearsing.
Many did a lot of streaking in the night (always using our window to get outside 'cause it was safer if you didn't wanna get caught.) So I saw a lot of naked people running around the soccer field during my time at the school xD
We did a musical where all the study lines joined to make one big musical. A lot of students from different schools across Denmark came to watch and obviously we performed in front of our parents too. After a few shows, we went to a theater in Aalborg where we performed our musical a couple of times on a real stage in front of a paying audience.
Usually, my afterschool went on a skiing trip to Norway for a week, but the year I went, we went to Copenhagen instead.
We did a lot of live concerts doing our stay (traveling around Denmark to perform and also having people come to our school.) We also went to a festival.
A few times during our stay, professional bands from across the world came to play for us.
One of my best friends and I started making videos. First, we made a short film for a school project and after that - 'cause people thought it was fun to watch and we enjoyed making the first film - we decided to make a music video for the song "It's Okay to Be Gay". You have no idea how much fun we had with that xD And it was a real hit. The boys were all in. They loved playing gay, apparently. The only actual gay at our school didn't join in, though, and it's quite understandable xD After that, a boy from the afterschool was asked to make a music video for one of our songs in the music video and my friend and I helped him out with it. I think it turned out pretty cool ^^ But I still didn't have nearly as much fun as when we made the other video xD. Basically, you have no restraints when you go to an afterschool. Everyone is so hippie-like xD After that, my friend and I went on and won a contest with another music video we made for a Danish artist's song. The price was an intimate concert with him where he would come to a place of our choosing to perform. We asked him to come to our joined 18th birthday where we invited everyone from the afterschool.
I have the latter and the It's Okay to Be Gay video om YouTube if you wanna see them ^^ But beware, they are REALLY old so some of it is quite embarrassing since we had never worked a camera before xD
That's an afterschool and some of the things you can do during your stay there. I think it's an awesome concept and I don't get why they don't use it in other countries. My brother went to a role playing afterschool so they did role plays during all their classes and attended big role playing events and all this sort of stuff. He LOVED it and wanted to stay another year, but he was already done with 10th grade. Poor boy :/
I hope you foretold this rant xD
I think boys and kids look super cute with band-aids on :3 I'm not sure about girls, though. You don't see girls with band-aids on very often, I guess xD
When I get nosebleeds, I just hold a paper to my nose. I don't stuff it in there nor do I use tampons xD
Why does it have to be so slippery D:
Lol, I didn't know that xD? You go, Europe! And I will pray for your well-being and the bad weather xD!

Guessss whaaaatt?? The snow-fairy visited last night! (Or the apocalyptic ice-fairy, I guess. My snowblower won't even work it's so wet.)
Consider me armed with knowledge! This efterskole sounds to me a bit like college. But you say your are in tenth grade when you go, does this mean you are living in a dorm away from your parents when you are 15 years old for the school year? No wonder you Europeans are more mature than us.
And dude I had no idea you were so into music O.o?!? Well, I knew a bit with all of the songs you sent me and these lovely JB miley-cyrus pictures. When I was nine years old I played the flute in school.... but I couldn't actually read the notes so I just memorized everything by ear, and when that didn't work I quit two months later xD
Streaking, really? xD And whoa nice job getting that guy to play at your birthday party!
I think the only thing comparable we have (other than a summer camp xD) is our senior year of highschool. I was lead to believe that right before college is a tough time in Europe full of exams. But on our side of the pond we get our acceptances into college in December of our senior year, giving us basically an in-school vacation until June. There are cases of high colleges finding out that your grades have slipped and then they revoke your acceptance and you're screwed, as it could be too late to get into another college, but as long as you keep your grades above a C you're fine if you're not a genius. Seniors will take off whole days just to get with their friends and go to amusement parks. Or just won't do their homework. They catch a disease that we call "Senioritis" and stop showing up to school in April.
A roleplaying school? Those exist?! Like LARPing and cosplay? Or was it more professional acting and improv?
Find your video and rewatch it. If you decide you look like an idiot and it was shot with a soda can and don't want me laughing at you, don't show me it. But if you're proud I'll be happy to see it too. xD
If you know "It's OKay to be Gay" you probably are aware of this. It's got Hetalia written in fabulous hot pink letters all over it. But take six minutes of your time and tell me if you know this song from a broadway play. A bunch of American lawyers are trying to figure out if their pointy-shoed suspect is... well....Β www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pCybcβ¦
Half of the videos I have are 90's VHS tapes that my parents used to appease me when I was little xD. Nightmare Before Christmas whoo!Β I'm gonna go find She's The Man and watch it online. You've inspired me. That's my reward if I do all the stuff I wanna get done today.

HAHAH XD! YES! You did it Mister Winter!
I called them dorms 'cause I didn't know what else to call them xD Yes, you live at the school, but you don't have a private kitchen or anything like that. You have your room you share with some other people and a bathroom you also share with others. That's it. There are microwaves around the school so we can make some food outside eating hours. The staff makes all the meals along with a group of students that takes turn at being in the kitchen (at my school, you had to have at least one week of kitchen duty, but they forgot about me 'cause I didn't sign up and so I only had one day and that was only 'cause I volunteered when a student with kitchen duty was sick... Bye, bye stupid German and Danish, I'm on kitchen duty!) And there was a supermarket pretty much next to our school so I guess you could handle everything yourself if you wanted to
Yep, I was 15 when I went to my afterschool ^^ And yes, it's kinda like college, except that we don't really do dorms in Denmark xD Not that I know of. We live by ourselves when we go to uni. Well, some live at dormitories, but I'm not sure they work the same way as yours? I live in an apartment. I hate to share xD
Oh dear God D:! YES, I'm definitely INTO music... I would screw music if that was possible! But I guess you can always screw along music, lol - sidetrack.
Well, I'm not any good at it. Everything I play is self taught (except drums. Took lessons for a year or two when I was like.. 7?). So, yeah, I can't play much. The only notes I can read are piano notes and ocarina notes, but I'm too slow to play while reading them. I have to transcribe them to letters and then learn them by heart as you did xD I can only play along chords and tabs for guitar without stopping all the time xD I love many things, but I never get good at anything 'cause my hobbies start boring me pretty quickly xD Sometimes I pick up my guitar and play a few things every now an then, but I can't remember any songs anymore so I have to find them first -_-' and then my fingers start hurting within 5 minutes since my skin isn't hardened anymore... so, yeah, I don't play much music xD Only when I'm at my mother's place. She's the only one with a piano *-*
They did it all the time... They even did it at my 18th birthday xD Perhaps it's a Dane thing. Last time I was at Fridaybar at uni, a crawled on top of the bar and stripped - to the bone... And one of the things we can get a cut in our student cap (from finishing high school) during student week is bathing naked in a group in the ocean. Most people do that since it's such a simple task. But I haveΒ to mention this: I never streak. I can't stand it xD I'm just the creeper that looks at others do it
HAHAHA! Oh my God! I would LOVE to go to an American school! That sounds so much fun And all I did was study... bwah... But then on the other hand, I didn't study for the rest of the 2 and a half year so I guess it wouldn't make much of a difference xD We don't have any ACT tests. Our chances of getting into the university is based on the grades we've ever gotten in high school and our final exams. I wish it wasn't like that. ACT are - as far as I know - something you can just study for and then you just have to remember the answers. We have NO tests or exams like that. We always have to think for ourselves and write 4-5 pages long essays on different things for all of our written exams -_-' such a drag.
It's especially for LARPing (I guess?) and cosplay and all those kinds of things. If you want professional acting and impro acting, you would have to go to an afterschool like mine. Our teacher was a real actor and he was the nicest person in the world! I'm not much of an actor, but when he started an impro class, I had to take it! And it wasa fuck-load of fun!
Oh no, it's not shot with a soda or potato or anything like that. Always with a real camera! I'm a tech freak, after all D: And I don't mind you watching them since I think they are funny, I just don't know if you'll find them funny.. 'cause... well, you weren't there xD? Might just be an afterschool thing... I don't know xD
Here they are if you feel like watching them:
It's okay to be gay - www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oa_2oG⦠(you have to have a YouTube account set to be 18 to watch this one.) - and this actually takes place at my afterschool xD If you watch it, watch out for a girl with black and pink hair 'cause that's moi xD - and I'm actually the only thing about that video I find truly embarrassing xD
The one we participated in the contest with: www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbZShL⦠(you don't have to be 18 to watch this one.)
Just so we're clear, I'll tell you who is who 'cause people can never tell the difference between me and my friend Julia in this video - for some odd reason o.O?
We okay 3 different characters each. A party girl, a nerd and a gangster guy xD
I'm the party girl with the sunglasses.
Julia is the party girl with the white streaks in her hair.
Julia is the nerd with a green hat.
I'm the nerd who has her hair in a ponytail.
Julia is the wannabe gangster in the John Cena shirt and cap.
I'm the gangster with the hoodie.
The song is in Danish and is basically about making a fool of yourself on the dancefloor... So we look and dance like idiots on purpose xD (Selvmord pΓ₯ dansegulvet - suicide on the dancefloor.)
Here you have them if you feel like watching them. I have a feeling you're gonna like a particular guy in the It's Okay to Be Gay... Lederhosen... just saying xD
I watched Legally Blond the movie, but not the musical xD... That song was hilarious xD I wanna get mad... but I can't, 'cause it's true... We have so many meterosexual guys you wouldn't even believe it xD And most of them have bromances so sometimes you can't even tell the difference D:
Yay for that And that's so sad... only VHS
I own a freaking Blu-Ray now (took me long enough to get the money to buy one xD) I haven't used VHS in years. It never works properly >
Me wants movies in good quality! If you go to Denmark, you're welcome to watch any movie in my lovely "digital library" xD Movies are my life *-*

Yeah- kitchen duty works like that at our colleges. Except I don't think it's so easy to shirk xD
Bwahaha! Come to America, I'll bring you to my highschool and we'll pretend you're a Danish exchange student!Β Oooh you should see how we decorate the hallways on spirit day. One day of the year all of the grades get together and totally cover their assigned hallway in craft paper, streamers, media references, and glitter and cover the lights (and make dummies of our teachers....) in our grades color. The girls show up to school half naked covered in facepaint. Then we trash everyone else's hallway. Freshmen fare the worst, and Seniors are consistently too inflicted with the Senioritis influenza to try so hard at decorating theirs. So now my Junior year is gonna go wild doing it. It's so fun ^_^
I wouldn't feel too bad though, I think you're still getting more fun-school time in Denmark than our four months at the end of Senior year.
But I do really like our standardized testing in oppossed to yours based on grades. I think it's more fair that way since we're such a large country/state (and I think I'm smarter than the averge, it gives me the advantage). Classes at my school are very heavily 'tracked' so there's four of the same exact Geometry class, except at different levels of intelligence. So getting an A in the lowest level is like a C in the highest level, but you learn more in the highest, with gives you an advantage on the ACT. Also a student school in New Jersey will probably be loads better than one in Georgia, but probably less than one in Vermont, regardless if all three students get A's. I got a 29 on my ACT, (equivalent of a 1920 on the SAT) which is a higher score than 93% of juniors who take it across the USA. Which would be mightily impressive to someone in Georgia, or in some of my lower classes, but in the higher AP classes there would be plenty of people who scored better and would laugh at my 29. But I like it because it rewards us for being the best on a national scale, rather than if your school is just an easy grader or not.
I'm gonna take the ACT again in April. Hopefully I'll get a 30 this time, it was just the math that brought me down. Colleges really notice it if you get into the thirties. My brother got one-- can't let him win, now can we?
Β Β Β Β Β
Ahem.
That was a seriously fucking cool video.
You go to America and you're like 'Eh, one out of every four guys is really hot.' But you go to Denmark.... Dafuq Danish men are nice looking bunch. They're not chubby shirtless either like some of ours are. Although you're much paler xD
I thought Austria was a very nice looking country too, but then again everyone there was white too. Maybe I'm just racist. I guess there's no shame in liking your own race. Before you call me out I went out with a black kid once! for like, three days in freshman year lol
This is a real video! With no one cracking up in the middle of it, nor is it filmed with a potato/iphone!!
What's so cool about this video though is the guys are totally having so much fun with it. I don't know how you and Julle did it. Our boys don't have that enthusiasm. I guess our boys are just more afraid of being thought of as actually gay-- they're not always celebrities here like they are in Denmark.
I watched that second one and I remembered thinking at one point "LIGHTNING BOOBS!" Your goofy dancing totally worked with the song. Isn't it awkward when someone dances in a student-made music video and they're actually trying to dance seriously? xD They end up making fools of themselves anyway.
Haha, I have more than just VHS tapes. Plenty of DVDS and Blue-rays too. But I would have so much fun with a video library *-* Don't got me one of those xD

It wasn't easy.... I was a ninja :3 heheheh xD
D: I would love to come to your high school! I so wanna find out what it's all about... And spirit day sounds like so much fun ^^! Kinda like our last day at school. Well, not in high school, but in the last year before high school, we do all sorts of stuff.. Like humiliating our teachers and giving awards to people and so on xD But yours sounds more wild.. More like what we do the in our first year as seniors... We fuck up the Freshmen xD
If I came, I would pretend to be this innocent, shy girl from a country far away... And then we will go drinking All of the boys from you school will wanna go to Denmark after that, I'm sure xD MUAHAHAH! I would also only wear shirts with pictures of my (apparently?) hot Danish friends... Then the girls might come along as well
But four months in a row!!! Where you can kinda legally do nothing and not worry AT ALL D:!!!
Wow o.O!?? I knew you have honor students and all that (didn't know you had that many different levels), but I don't like that. We only have normal classes and at some schools, there are also classes for students way below average. I think it's unfair to split people up like that. And yeah, it gives the smart people an advantage, but damn, what about the less wise students?! They probably won't even try to get good grades 'cause they are not gonna count anyway.
But I do like you SAT and ATC system (especially because the assignments are so simple xD). When you don't have a final test like you have, you have to really work hard in every class if you want a good average grade - which is the grade that will get you into the university. I got a C (or E? whatever, the grade where you barely pass) in Greek and Roman studies 'cause I didn't do my homework, I didn't speak in class for a whole year and I barely showed up for classes (so it's actually pretty amazing that I didn't fail xD) and my average grade went down like CRAZY. and of course I as the only in my class got the "honor" of having to take an exam in that subject (we don't have to go to an exam in every class we take 'cause we get a final grade when the classes are over and they will be used in the average grade regardless if you go to an exam or not.) Got a B so that's was definitely better, but my average grade still dropped D: So, yeah, you have to work hard all three years of high school. You can't just hope to be lucky at your final exam when your final grades count as well... FML -_-'.
Work hard, girl There's nothing more satisfying than surpassing your siblings xD
Haha, glad you liked it xD I think they are okay and funny as hell (but that might just be because I know what happened behind the scenes and so that makes me laugh xD?) But, yeah, it's been a good few years since I did these and they were my first "serious" videos ever so I should definitely be able to do better now than I did back then. Especially since I've taken those media classes. I've wanted to make a proper short film (that's not school related like the short movies we did in media class), but it's hard to find good actors D:
.... You think.... our boys look good.... based on that?.... Outrages! Do you only have like super ugly men in 'murica xD? I thought you were pretty much like us... Except for the REALLY fat people.
Hehe, yeah, we are white xD! As in super white sometimes. But you only saw the guys from my afterschool and they were all hippies and the kind of people that do not care about their looks so most don't care about tanning either (during the few hours of sun we have in Denmark xD). The majority tan... and then there's the pop girls and boys... or rather poletneger" if you like xD Here's an example www.bodybuilding.dk/files/atta⦠- from a Danish Night club. They are so ugly D:... See who's hiding in the back ? The bottle stealing kinda person, hahahah xD!
Dude, I'm the last person to call you out on that, you should know that XD Besides, most people like their own race better. Why wouldn't they? There's a reason the different races come from the same place. We are meant to be together, damn it xD I like my own race best too, but once in a while, I find a hot Asian or nigga' ^^! And I really don't care if I end up with someone of my own race or not. It's just a race D:
No, only real video cameras! I can't work with bad quality D:
We had so much fun it should be illegal xD.... But it was pretty freaky. During these shower scenes, I had to cut to go and get something, and when I came back, the boys were like, "Duuude, he just masturbated!"... Turns out one of the boys had went inside one of the green boxes you see in the video in the shower scene (toilets) just so he could jerk of. And he wasn't afraid to say it. He just laughed like crazy xD That's was freaky... The boys were totally in. I didn't even ask the guys who kissed to kiss. They just suddenly shouted, "Chris, film this!" and then they went for it xD
Well, other Danish people I know wonder too how we got them to do it so it's not like anyone would do it... This is what happens when you go to an afterschool! You free your minds and bodies xD
Hahahahah! I love the celebrity comment xD
Hehe, my flat chest loves the attention, I guess xD I just put in the effect. I wasn't even trying to make them light up like that XD
Oh yeah, definitely! So I'm glad we didn't have to try and dance beautifully xD It was one big nerdy party xD
Man, I was afraid you were stuck in VHS hell D; Don't give me shock like that ever again!

LOOOOOLL I love reading your messages under my desk in math class! It's so great to laugh! Poor teachers can only wonder what drugs I'm on.
American highschool near NY is amazing. It's like one giant hetalia fanfiction setting-- I could introduce you to a kid from ever country on earth! You could stare at all of the black people you want!! xD (Okay, well, maybe not. We only have 20 or so.)
Oh yeah--- except for Scandinavia. Because you guys haven't been poor in a few hundred years your ancestors haven't felt the need to pack up and leave for here. Just the Swedes who came here in 1600 to Pennsylvania, and any prior to that you came as Vikings xD. I only know of one Dane at my school. So ya'lls ish speshul.
Haha, all innocent, yes ma'am. But don't worry, our boys would want to go to Denmark if they heard just about the porn and drinking age.
But here's a tip. Don't wear a shirt with any of your friends faces on it in America, we don't do that here, not unless you're thirteen years old and just got back from a bat mitzvah xD.
I actually really like how our classes are like that, because if you are smart enough you can easily move up. You're not locked in like in central Europe where you have to pick which level of schooling you want at ten years old. In some of my lower or mixed classes I really feel like I'm being held back by the students who don't try as hard because they try and make you uncool for trying, just so they don't look as bad. It's such a better environment for learning in the other ones because the parasites aren't trying to drag you down. If a class wasn't challenging for me, I would surely sink to the level of effort that was necessary. But it also caters to the kids who aren't so smart in certain subjects by not moving at a pace that is unreasonable. So I'm happy and not stressed in a lower class for physics, but excelling in very smart classes for English and history.
But I wouldn't say the ACTs are easy until you've tried them xD. Simpler, but certainly not easy.Β
Aye yeah, hard to find good actors. Twice I was asked by somewhat-guy-friends of mine to play large roles in their video production projects. But I was thinking "Really? You barely know me, couldn't find anyone better?" I'm not in any acting classes- I have a feeling I'd either be really great or really terrible. Dunno xD Poletneggers! My own kind! --wait-- what in the name of the Jersey Shore did they do to their poor shirts?!?!?!?! Do they get 20% off at the store if they only buy 80% of a shirt? Or even worse they craft these sorts of things themselves? And the colors....! That's definitely gay here.
Lol, poor awkward bottle snatcher in the back.
Well, know that I added a grain of salt to what I saw- because I had to block out that they were doing incredibly gay things and not all of them were super hot. But being confident and happy is a big part of looking attractive. We Americans can be a fine looking bunch too- you've seen our movies. The hottest guy in the US is as hot as the hotest guy in Denmark. But if 2/5 people are black mexican or asian, you've got a much smaller margin to choose from if you're looking for that. So there's just more of what I would consider hot guys there, although we Americans are not any uglier (in my opinion). Which is why European nations strike me as attractive because a higher percentage is what I look for. But I love how European boys actually bother to dress nice. Ours don't try as much, or if they do they end up looking like those lovely saps in the Diskothek.
Sorry xD I'll keep that in consideration next time I try to scare you.

HAHAHHAH XD! Oh God, you're insane for reading these messages in class. If people knew what we wrote about sometimes D:!
(I don't think they would appreciate me staring at them, but okay ! xD!)
And as vikings, we fucked up everything and everyone, fucked some bitches, killed some dudes, stole a bunch of stuff and then went back home to celebrate some more. Sorry, 'Murica xD
Lol, I like being special But is he like a real Dane or just have some Danish ancestors? Can he even speak Danish D - It would be so funny if I came and your "Danish" boy would be all like, omg, I'm from Denmark too! (Or something like that.) 'cause I would be a typical Dane and be like, "Fuck, hvor nice! SΓ₯ jeg ikke alene!" and when he doesn't understand me, I'll look as unimpressed as possible and leave without a word... Unfortunately, this is what happens when you come from a country where only "your own kind" live. You get intolerant and racist.
It's so weird that's enough when I'm so used to it xD I'm not going till I turn 21 later this year, though, 'cause I'm gonna be the most annoying cry baby when the bouncers won't let me in in America xD
Oh, okay... So you actually do that?... I've never seen anyone in Denmark do that so don't worry, I've never owned a shirt like that xD! I only wanted to do it to show off the smexy Danes
Ah, it's so American xD We Danes have gotten dumb and lazy 'cause life is just too easy for us. Cool nerds are RARELY found in Denmark. They have to make up for it big time in their spare time. We like doing nothing and usually compete in who can do less than the others and still get better grades - well, not directly, but that's basically what it's all about. I'm one of them, unfortunately, but at least I got good grades xD Never failed a subject and got A+ in all subjects that interested me and some of the subjects I didn't bother to follow. The subjects I didn't follow AT ALL, I still managed to get average grades in. I have no idea how I did it o.O That's the Danish way to rock, I guess. We are the complete opposites of Japanese at that point XD
But in Denmark, you can be popular no matter which group you belong (fat, thin, sporty, smart, etc..) As long as you're just remotely pretty, have confidence, but without being annoying (and our idea of confident is not that same as your, that's for sure xD You have to be sickeningly humble. Basically, you're not allowed to praise yourself in anyway in Denmark. Jantelov )
So, yeah, our system fits us fine. But we don't choose levels, as you said? I'm not even sure what you mean by that. We just go to school and there's one level. Unless you are "special," as I told you already. But everyone else have classes together in every subject and they are never split into different levels. So if you wanna be a good student, attend classes, do your homework, etc.. Bad student, just sit in the back and play games on your PC. Our Jantelov would never allow us to make these honor classes. You are not supposed to think your better than others, therefore you go to the same class as everyone else and it's up to you alone to learn. I think that's fair enough.
Oh yes, simpler, not easier, of course. Or, well, I don't know. I'm usually good at learning things by heart so I think I would prefer them xD I wouldn't have to worry about good grades all year through at all *-* Relax, baby!
HAHAHAH xD Yeah, hard to know until you try it right. I was casted as a "villain" in an amateur production (that Nordisk Film actually wanted to release in the theaters, but the director didn''t want that 'cause she wanted it to be school material) and I was so freaking bad xD! I have no idea how I got the part over all these other people that went to the several castings. In the trailer, I'm just sitting there like... nothing to do here xD So embarrassing. Luckily, something happened and they had to stop the production. Yay! I would hate myself forever if people I know had to watch that movie in class all around Denmark D:!! - So, I think you should try it, it's fun, but please consider if you can live with yourself looking like an idiot when other people are watching xD
HAHHAHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAH!! Oh God, believe me, I wonder that myself xD I think it's their own craft, unfortunately. But don't worry, none of us other normal Danes like that kind. It's a special poletneger kind that no one understands xD
You sure can Just think about my precious Randy *-* (had to mention him, it was an obvious chance, hahah xD!)... But in Denmark, you kinda have to be pretty to be considered pretty. Then again, I think we have lower standards than Americans. I don't know. I think we all look a like xD
HAHAH xD don't judge the lovely poletnegers in the diskotek! They have feelings too D: --- I think? Maybe not... Probably not.
Yes, please, do that!

fiiiiiccckkkkkkkkkkk it took me an hour to write this whole giant thing and then it deleted. And I have a big thing due at midnight too I didn't start. I'll have to push some of these replies to tomorrow.
Well, the thing is, there's a fair amount of black people, so they probably won't believe you haven't seen one before if you hide your foriegnness. So if they see you staring at them, they'll be thinking "Aw shnap, Ah got somepin' in mah teeth agin don't ah?" Unless you're staring obviously at a person who knows he's very stereotypically black/drug-dealer looking. THen you're a racist
I'm just glad that when you vikings came, there wasn't anything here for you to snatch up xD. The only useful thing out here was fur. No precious metals or anything.
Nah, this girl's a real Dane. I remember one time I was walking next to her, and her classmate asked "Oh my gosh! You're Danish? Speak some!" And she started klapperting on in Danish, something about what her name was and her birthday and her age were all I could deduce from it with the English words. The only Danish words I know are Jeg, Tak, and Bad. Which is boat, but the A has a schnazzy little hat on it . I think I mentioned her once. I don't mean to stroke your ego, but she's totally stone cold and scares me and was elected class president of our year of 500 students.
No, we don't actually wear shirts with faces on them. That's lame.
No self praising allowed in Denmark? I don't think much of us Americans would survive there. I'd have to tell my friends exactly when I needed to be complimented. Sure you can think to yourself you're better than others! I do all the time xD. You've just gotta back it up with something worthwhile, and not tell anyone unless you wanna fight
And the colleges do look mostly at our school grades than the ACT. But since unlike you we have all of these different classes, we need a test to compare us on a national scale.
I know in German class I was learning that students after they were ten years old had to choose if they would go to the gymnasium, realschule, bundersgymnasium, ect. But I know my textbook is a bit outdated and it's becoming more like how it is in my country.
I was SO pissed when they wouldn't let me into the club at first in Austria without ID! In the clubs in the US you don't try and sneak in until you're around 19, otherwise you just stick to house parties. Unless you're my one friend who I was outside eating snow with- he was 16 or 17 and his fake id said he was 21. At How old are you trying to sneak into clubs in Europe? Eleven? I was sixteen, I wasn't asking for much! Let me in dang it! D:
Cool nerds are a relatively common sight here. You're talking to one of them. Or at least I think so, I might just be a nerd. But not the Danish type of nerd who is boringly studious, I'm the one that knows everything without studying. I think the reason why cool nerds are more common here is because there's not as much pressure to party due to the ages.
But you can't really be cool here if you're fat/geeky/ on a schoolwide scale, although you might be popular within your group, unfortunately.
For example, on wednesdays afterschool my closest guy friend runs anime club (who actually is a a tall dark portuguese who goes to the gym. Look at what funny combinations we have here! Anime+Guido!) where I show up sometimes. I would be the 'coolest' girl there whose the least spastic and shippy and screechy and has some degree of social skills, but I wouldn't be the most popular because the popularity is relative to the subject field. Which is anime. So although I'm the secret expert on hetalia, when they start prattling on about Ouran and Homestuck I'm not so important. Only one of them knows that I've written a somewhat famous fanfiction, and that was just because she showed me her FF account and I felt obligated to write a review of her things. I don't know if it's because I think writing fanfiction is generally thought of asΒ loserly, or if it's because if I had to explain that our beloved characters were Nazis that I'd be afraid they'd take it the wrong way. Also probably because I don't really ship much. And my level of pride prevents me from making a bad cosplay like the rest of them or publicly drooling after an anime boy that I know if existed in real life, would kill all of these bitches xD. So I'm the omega wolf of the Anime club because they're all geeks. When in reality I'm not a complete loser.
Yeah, I know our guidos tailor the sleeves of their T shirts to be tight, to make their biceps pop out. Although I've never yet seen the whole front of the shirt carved away like that O:
Lol, it's funny how you think all of you look alike. Where the joke here is that all blacks/asians look alike. Shit, it took me forever (sometimes months-- they're so quiet!) to learn the names of some of my asian acquaintances. I was staying after school on monday to paint a mural and this new guy showed up and was staring at me because I brought extra food to share. and I'm like "Hi I'm Carlie" and he's like "Alvin." And I'm like Oh shit I know you!!! You went to my middle school! Loooll..... embarrassing.
No... I don't think they have much feelings beyond basic animalisticness. If you ever need more information onto their mysterious thought process you could always ask me for research purposes, as I know their distant Italian-American cousin the guido quite well! XD

I hate when that happens D:! Did that stunt too a couple of times.
HAHAHA XD! I'll do my best to stare the right way then... I'll try to look fascinated/in love. Hopefully, they will just take it as a compliment and be like, daaaaym, I can get white girls too!
I don't even know what we were doing there. But it wasn't on purpose anyway xD Still, we found you first!
I'm still having a hard time believing she's an actual Dane when that's what she choose to say in Danish. She definitely doesn't have the Danish mentality 'cause we would never try to become class president. Too much work xD Buut she might be. It's not like we never move out of this little box of ours xD
HAHAH xD okay, then, I'll take note of that so I don't think I'm being all American xD
Yeah, you definitely wouldn't xD I know how self-praising Americans can be and I never know what to think about it. Sometimes, I think it's cool and I'm like, sure, go ahead and be proud of your achievements. But mostly, my Danish braincells (we have those xD) scream at me and tell me to think, oh heeeell no! Shut your mouth and be humble, bitch! I don't wanna know how awesome you think you are 'cause you're no better than any of us!--- yeah, those cells are pretty aggressive. I'll apologize for their bad behavior on behalf of them. It doesn't matter if you can back it up. Just don't speak positively about yourself. But obviously, I don't mind it as much when foreigners do it 'cause I know it's only like that in Denmark and Japan, LOOOL xD
Loolz, psycho Germany. I think pretty much all of us choose where to go next after 10th or 9th grade now. I'm pretty sure I researched this when it comes to Germany and they were like that too, as far as I recall. My German books were outdated too. All they ate in my books were sauerkraut. I later learned they don't do that much anymore. Now it's just their not so delicious wurst in jar
HAHAH xD! Poor you! I think many begin (in Denmark) around the age of 13-14. Not sure. Times have changed and I don't go to the places where those youngsters come.
Probably... I don't know. Most here don't mind partying so we're not really pressured to do it. It's just something we start doing when we feel ready. But I think it's good that you have cool nerds. I was afraid it was just me that felt this way about Danish nerds, but as I'm writing this, I'm actually listening to a Danish song called Intelligent, which is basically just a man singing about how much he hates the fact you're not allowed to be smart in Danish school without being called a nerd and kinda being looked down upon. So I'm not the only one, yay xD
But we don't have cool nerds. If you're smart, don't show it and don't brag. Just be smart. Nerds are either just loser nerds or annoying nerds. You're cool nerds are our annoying nerds. Our cool nerds are those we call smart. And the smart people are just really knowledgeable, but only show it enough to get good grades. If you start bragging or showing off too much, we'll just write you off as an annoying nerd. So, yeah, you have to be really subtle about it... and now I made it sound like it's hard to spot our smart people, but it's not. It's really easy 'cause you just know they are really, really smart and since they don't brag, show off or anything like that, we respect them. It's not like you ever have to play dumb. Just don't be annoying about it.
Hehe, I totally get it. It's a universal rule that you can be popular overall, but won't be popular in certain smaller groups. Poor little you xD But I bet you don't wanna be one of them anyway so just stay true to yourself. As long as you can have fun with them as well even if you aren't popular among them.
And I really feel you, bro. Some people from my high school class found out that I was interested in Japan and they overheard me talking with this guy from school (who is a total fanboy and he wasn't very liked in our class) about anime and then suddenly, I was one of those people who watched cartoons. I don't think I was ever REALLY one of those 'cause I rarely spoke about it and I didn't act like the anime fangirls and boys (and they had their own little group which I wasn't a part of and everyone knew it. I just didn't mind speaking with them once in a while 'cause they were really nice people. Many of them were just misunderstood and were used to getting bullied so they kept to themselves and were kinda awkward to people who weren't a part of their group. Guess I just felt sorry for them.) But if the subject landed on anime or something like that, everyone thought I was an expert and I was like, dude, I'm a noob when it comes to that. Only difference between you and me is that I've actually watched a little anime and you haven't (though I think many do it in secret here xD At a reunion party with my old elementary school, I was discussing anime with one of my old friends that everyone knows was a little geeky back in the days (I played pokΓ©mon with him back then - but most people did so we're all guilty of that xD) and suddenly, my ex-boyfriend jumps in and starts talking about anime too... And I'm like... what? He's pretty prideful and likes to be around popular people and does pretty much nothing else than pump iron(-Danish guido)- (though he's one of the few that doesn't mind talking to people who are not that popular. He can be a douche, but I found out he treats pretty much everyone equally at the end of the day.) and I was shocked, to say the least. And he knew it 'cause the first thing he said was, yeeah, you didn't see that one coming, did you? So I think (and know) lots of normal people watch it too. They just stay quiet about it 'cause they don't wanna be grouped as one of those cartoon nerds.) But that's about the only time I was looked at as someone who watched anime and it was only mentioned like one or two times during high school. It just felt weird the first time they implied I was a fangirl 'cause I knew I would never be able to follow the real fangirls and 'cause I was used to being looked at as the loud, weird girl who watched wrestling, punched people, hated being touched and had a faul mouth. There's just such a long way from that to fangirl xD!! Guess it was only 'cause I happened to land in the most sports orientated class at my high school. And we all know jocks wouldn't understand that anime is not the same as cartoons xD
And don't worry, I don't like showing people my dA or FF either. I loosened up about it when I started Japan studies 'cause everyone loved that stuff. But I still find it uncomfortable if people find out I write fanfics and draw fanart so only a few know xD But as we've stated, certain things are glorified in certain groups. And Japan study people are the right people to talk about fanarty things xD
HAHHAHA XD!! I haven't seen any other Danish guidos wearing something like that. It's mostly the really gay people who does xD
Well, we don't look a like like that. We too think all Asians and some niggas look a like (believe me, I couldn't tell the difference between all our Japanese exchange for so freaking long and I kept calling everyone Haruka (and it's a fucking sin not to remember people's names in Japan.) Three of them were named Haruka and one was named Honoka and one another name close to that. It was freaking hard to remember when even their names sounded alike xD But I learned it eventually and now it's easy to differ them from each other. Poor Honoka, I called her Haruka countless times and she sounded really annoyed the last couple of times I accidentally called her that.) We look a like 'cause we all have long blond hair that's either teased or just straight or in a bun, blue eyes, usually tall and skinny and most wear the same kind of clothes and same colors. That's why I think we look a like. I don't look like them, though. Everything is different except for the blue eyes, lol xD I' such a rebel, ain't I
Oooh, poor you xD!!
I will!
