Description
DisappearedWhere did you go? You told me you would never let go of my hand, unless I wanted you to, but I never would. You promised me that we’d see each other again tomorrow. Well tomorrow has come and passed, but where are you? All I remember was that I had to escape from my dreadful prison, my castle. I was nothing but a petty burden to my own family. I wanted to run away. Then, I remember seeing you outside the gates. I watched as you slowly entered the foyer and sat on the red velvet chair by the table. You glanced at me for a few moments while I peered beside the giant pillar at the side of the room. Next, I remembered something you did that made me feel so content, as my heart felt like it was going to burst. You smiled, but like none I’ve ever seen before. I giggled and started to blush while smiling back. Soon enough a large man entered the foyer with your father. A maid told me to leave for there was business to be done, but she gestured over to you also, this made my heart thump again.
“Go show him to the garden Jocelyn. I’m sure you two would enjoy the tranquil stillness and sweet aromas in the air, no?” She suggested.
“Okay Beth, come with me Ruben,” I smiled, and then you grabbed my hand as I led you to the garden. I also remember that we’re only adolescent teenagers, yet… we fell madly in love with each other. How could you leave me? I loved you remember. I still do -----forever. The last thing I remember was that we held onto each other under the tree in the garden; it was as if a small chain would bind us together. Later, I wondered why myself, but you pulled away telling me, “It’s time. I need to leave, my love.”
“Please… Don’t let go…” I begged.
“Don’t worry my dear; I shall come again, maybe tomorrow, hopefully soon.” You answered assuring.
Our hands were locked together as you pressed your soft, warm lips onto mine; our eyes closed as well. Then we looked at each other for a few seconds. You started to walk away with a red face until you finally released your tender grip from my palm and ran off. I stood there, under the cherry tree, wondering when you’d ever come back. The drops of water fell from the sky, the heavens wept for I had lost you. Before I opened my eyes from this realistic fantasy, I thought about when you’d come again, for as I said, tomorrow has come, and you are not here. I tried for nights to close my eyes and soar to where you had gone, but it was impossible. I find myself thinking, everyday, that you’ll come back when I least expect you to.
