Description
Fatal FateIn the corner of the room, lies a blade. It is nothing special; just an everyday box cutting blade. But to me it is so much more. It symbolizes a great ordeal I have been through recently. An action I had done, that I now highly regret. How ignorant was I; I who had not thought of what the cost would have been. I didn’t realize that I would end up in the state I’m in at this moment. The human world is now forever lost from my grasp. I am now cursed to roam this world; viewing my past from retrospect. I can clearly see that I was not as brilliant as everyone thought. I was dead silent in class, I got good grades, was on honor roll, but inside, I was truly filled with torment. A lost soul as I am now. I put on a mask to hide my inner sorrow, my rigorous pain. I didn’t want anyone to notice my true self, so I hid my real emotions under a veil of happiness, just to see the world smile. And no one knew; they never did. I was always good at keeping secrets. One day, I couldn’t take the depression and anguish any longer. So I had reached for the blade. A crimson rose bloomed from my wrist. Moments later, the petals faded and withered onto the glossy tiles of my bathroom floor. The rose grew larger and I, I grew weaker. Finally, it had wilted to the floor. A stream of red wine followed through the vain on my wrist and spilt onto the petals. As my shell of a corpse laid on the beautiful crimson flower, which floated upon a sea of red wine, overflowing the barren floor of tiles, I stand here now; invisible to the naked eye, yet still am able to be sensed by the human feelings. I was the quiet one who held many untold secrets.
