Nice colours and shot. It's sad yes, but lovely in a way. Bittersweet I believe they call it. keep it up!

Some people may wish they could feel the planet's pain, as if it was really alive. We have images of all kinds of disasters yet we all seem to be heading for an even greater disaster if something isn't done soon. All of us have seen the unbelievable beauty of the planet we call home yet we are slowly turning it into a gigantic garbage can. One picture where you can rant all you want is called "Scars of Humanity" it was taken by gilad who lives in Israel.
As a matter of fact it seems that with all the problems swirling around us like a powerful storm, could it be that humans are finally losing control?

great photo, very sad. what ARE we thinking, we need those to breath, its like my idea kinda where I had pics of trees cut up into fire wood . beautiful lighting tho, the yellow light reminds me of death, like death of a forest

The color in this photo is wonderful for the shot itself. It compliments the image of the dead wood and barren land around so very well.

It's good to see a landscape shot with a meaning. Powerful.

Sorry to ruin the tree hugging.
But these ones in particular were taken down by beavers. They chew around the tree until it falls under its own weight. Note this pattern in the tree near the bottom left. Also they are quite weather beaten and have been floating in the water for some time. These trees were fallen naturally and have simply washed ashore. It will make you all happy to hear that, since these trees have not been removed from the forest- there organic nutrients will be gradually but completely returned to Mother Nature Herself. No harm done. You all owe humanity an apology. But beware the beavers, they grow ever bolderβ¦..

We're drunk on our so called power, and have lost regard for everything else.

Stupid humans, most of them will never realize the beauty and importance of the trees...

makes you want to cry doesn't it, reminds me of a lot of places in BC massive amount of trees dead from the pine beetle, whole forest red because all the trees died. All because humans have messed with the natural order of things so much that the bugs have nothing to kill them...
