first time doing bump maps

well, it is actually the second time, but the first attempt was lost because *someone* forgot to make even a single save. that first attempt was a carved war axe, by the way.

how it went: made a simple mesh, painted from "big" to "small" areas (started with insets in stone and ended with hieroglyphs), then took the grayscale map, split it into layers by brightness, applied colors, then messed with each layer (representing each material) a little bit to make it look more rough.

definitely not the best result, but it's so enjoyable to see bump or normal mapped model especially if it's your own creation!
