Description
this is what loyal wing was when i first made a OC (a alicorn) and who i shipped him with (Twilight is my all time favorite character). i made three different backstories for him, but i 'm not a write, so they sucked. until i commissioned and to make a backstory for him (they did amazing job on it). i shipped him with aj because she isn't as popular as twilight, but Applejack is still one of my favorites because i can relate with her more. i changed Loyal Wing in to a Pegasus because well also we all know that a lot of people hate on alicorns. so thats why his is what he is now, but i just don't care anymore. this pic and the pony Loyalty is shipped with in it makes me so happy and that is whats important to me ...being happy.bg done by

Two comments actually.
First, and this is more as a writer, but the reason people hate on alicorns is twofold. There's the "Alicorns are extremely common" thing, which carries with it the underlying idea that the creator couldn't decide or didn't want to pick one of the three (four-five) normal races. Now, personally, I try incredibly hard to avoid using that particular line of reasoning, since it's a massive generalization. However, one that I AM willing to bring into play, and what I personally see as being the root problem is that most people don't have an answer for the following questions. "How does being an alicorn affect your character?" The show's shown that alicorns are incredibly rare, tend to hold positions of power, and hints that they're nigh on worshiped. So if your character is an alicorn baker, you're going to have to work pretty hard to NOT shatter disbelief when everyone treats him/her the same as a normal pony. Heck, that could make an interesting story, if someone were willing to put the effort in: The difficulties of being accepted in a community despite what you are. This reason here is why I've done a number of the things I've done in Trials of Life, like having the fact that the main character is an alicorn be hidden purposefully to avoid the kind of reactions ponies tend to exhibit. Anyway, tangent over. My point is, if making a character an alicorn isn't a choice with consequence then the character should be reworked. Despite Equestria being a pretty accepting country (for the most part) there's still differences between the races, and those differences affect not only the social view of them, but also the physical state they have. An alicorn, in theory, avoids the physical trade-offs that the other species have, but they have some all their own which have become more obvious now that we've seen season 4. Magical differences, physical incompetence, you name it. This is my main problem with alicorn OCs, they'd work just as well if not better as a different species. Then again, the tendency for these characters to be written poorly by relatively inexperienced writers doesn't help much.
Secondly, and don't worry this is shorter, comes from my self. I can sum it up in a few sentences actually. Loyal Wing is your character, you do the art and you own the character in it's entirety. So yeah, feel free to draw/write/do whatever you want with him. And if you enjoy shipping him with other characters, have fun. What we're all about, isn't it?

some references would be nice. he likes to do zoom and boom tactics with his glaive, he does have a secondary weapon to. its a swing blade that folds up so he can walk and run. this is the only pic i got of the swing blade

And could you be a wee more specific with "zoom and boom tactics"? I am not exactly sure what you mean by that. DO you mean he just rushes in? Or is there something more to it?
