The reason robots drawn like this are always scary are because they look angry and dead. The Human skull is locked in what looks like gritting teeth when the skin is removed.
I WOULD NOT want to run into something that looked like that.

Why is it humanized machines are always so creepy looking?... Even in reality, the jerky movement and always slightly distorted look and posture give me the willies.
Nice look you got going on here though. Looks like you got all the major facial muscle groups covered.

I think you just answered why it's creepy. I was afraid of it looking too much like the Terminator. It's hard to do a metallic robot with a skull-like human face, and not have it look a lot like the terminator.

That's assuming having them look like the Terminator is a bad thing lol. I'm sorry but those things are pretty freaky as well, simply because they look all to human. I do realize you were aiming for a standard of originality though lol, that point was not missed.

Yeah, the last thing I wanted was for people to say, "Oh, that's just a Terminator rip off!" The character is really far from a Terminator. Closer to a Frankenstein's monster.
