Description Something different. Notice that it's "Mixed Media".
This whole thing started with my first attempt on sculpting a female head in Sculptris. I was pretty happy with the model itself since i was completely new to this, but the overall look didnt satisfy me at all and when I tried adding texture, it kept crashing. In case you're interested, here's the model. i.imgur.com/A7uzNuk.png
So i imported the render into SAI and painted over the whole thing. The background is half imagined, half based on my own stock images, just like the textures.

Really nice ! Especially the light on the eye.

If you have too much textures in Sculptris, he will crash because he can't handle it, choose only the necessary and load them.

Thanks for the tip!
I only had 6 textures, is that really too much?

It depends. Where are this 6 textures ? In the folder "textures" (C:\Program Files (x86)\Pixologic\Sculptris Alpha 6\textures) or in sculptris when you use it ?

It's in the folder "textures" that you can't have a bunch of textures (same thing for the materials).
For me I have an other folder on my deskop and when I'm using Sculptris I load them one by one, never had trouble yet.
Also if you don't understand or if this doesn't solve the issue, go check the forum of pixologic/Zbrush or the sculptris users group on DA.

The textures I used, including selfmade ones, are in a completely different path than the program files itself. I imported the textures so i could quickly switch between them.  Also for some reason the program now crashes when im opening the file
Thanks a bunch for your advise, im will definately check it out!
