Languages of Aquitania for the contest "Map of Forthnight"POD : Odonid Aquitaine manage to influence politically the post-carolingian western world. Carloman and Louis share the kingdom of the western Francia as OTL, but the two remain separated and during Middle-Ages, Aquitaine is still a kingdom.
Little by little, annexation and marriages, the major state of the region is the Aquitaine instead of France.
The map is showing many oil languages, but it's mainly an institutional fiction made to break the oilitan militancy that urges for a more open linguistic policy.
So far, they didn't have any great progress, and the use of oil languages is slowly vanishing.

Here's a thought. If there's no Normandy then there probably wasn't a Norman conquest of France or something similar, so the English language which does appear on this poster would sound very strange to us.
Also this seems a bit modest. Maybe Aquitania would have taken the northern Iberic Peninsula.

Sort of a reverse (with other situations, as weird consideration of french dialetcs) rather than plausibility check.

For Normandy, yes it is. Just it's called Neustria here, or "Neutrie" in Neutrian.

Though I should point out that "teached" isn't a word - it should be "taught".
