Description
Not really, but considering I've spent yet another week working on this one I think the title is fitting.
So, I found an extremely soft yarn which also had a very nice color set on it. So I decided to buy it and give it a try. Easy and dandy, eh? Well, WRONG! Everything, and I say everything was trying to make my life hard on this project! Whoever took care of this package of yarn literally made a shitty job into making the balls! You cannot see it, but the yarn intself had been badly cut and tried back together to the point I had to cut off the bad knot and make yet more knots to fix the damage and make the yarn actually able to be knitted into what you see here. Oh, and remember my old one? This one ended up being even longer because of a calculation mistake. At least it does it's job well into keeping warm anyone who wears it. Heck, I had to actually wear it as I was working on it! (because the living room is a freaking freezer in winter!) On the good side, Now I know how to work with this kind of yarn and thanks to a tutorial I can do an easier closure. Yay for me, I guess?
And yes, I have a Mario hat pillow, bought it at the Romics convenction many years ago. I love that thing to bits!
Scarf is (c) by me, lskaori

Looks nice! And a messed up yarn isn't the funniest thing to deal with, and those knots can really make one go nuts. But I think you did a great job!

Thanks! Sadly it's what one risks when they go for the cheap ones. This one in particular was of two different strings wrapped together in some sort of braid, so I even got one half of it knotted in one occasion!

That can easily happen, it's alot more simple with just "one-string" yarn. Even when I mostly crochet nowadays, sometimes the yarnthreads can become tangled and you've got to cut that part and try to put the new yarnthread into use, without making a knot. A knot in the crochet works is more visible than when you knit.

I kinda learned to "hide" it in the yarn once the work it's done. Sometimes it's position makes it easy to hide, at times it require some skills. Thankfully it never sticks out like a sore thumb.
