Oh my God! I was just thinking about this the other day! Gohan Black would have been so much more interesting! Imagine Trunks watching his old teacher killing his mother right in front of him! Imagine how much potential for drama and emotion there could have been! Uh, such a missed opportunity...

Yea indeed! It would have been 10x better. Trunks killing Future Gohan at the end would almost be symbolic to him letting go of the past.
