Don't worry, I can't remember the names of my cousins so whenever I am there I specifically avoid using names.... I wonder if they have noticed yet.

Yeah, they are 6 hours away and I have been to their house twice. Although that doesn't excuse the fact I haven't figured out their names while I am there seeing as I normally spend 2 days at their place when I come by.

I don't have a big family but I still don't know all of them... I should probably actually talk to them when I go outside of my room instead of just running to the fridge, grabbing food, running back, and locking the door to eat in peace.

last december it was my great grandmothers 100th birthday party and 50 people were invited and only people i knew were my family plus 5 other people. so i just sat awkwardly and ate the food that was offered and talked only with my brother for 3 or 4 hours. scary to think that all those 50 people were related to me.

One time we had a full-family reunion and we were just over a hundred... And I just sat there like, "Am I really supposed to know all these people ?"

I've never had this problem. All the family on my dad's side literally live on the other side of the world, so I've never met them, and I have only 11 cousins on my moms.

Well, I only have an aunt and a cousin on my dad's side, but there's about a hundred peeps on my mom's side

Happened when I visited another country. Went to about 10 different houses, and had no idea how the people were related, because my chinese is that bad.

Makes me think if the times we went to Germany, back when I was younger. Couldn't speak a dang word of German, it could get very awkward with my great-aunt

I have... six cousins on my paternal side, and around bzillion cousins on my maternal side.
So during maternal family reunions I usually run (or sit awkwardly) around unnoticed because I don't want anything to do with remembering anything. Because I'm expected to know ALL of them. Unless it's new year, I need my money. >w<

That awkward moment when someone you don't remember ever seeing is welcomed into your house and asks for a hug.
And you can't just deny them the right to a hug.

I have more than 100 cousins, last time I counted it was 72 and that was in kindergarten. (I don't even think I counted all of them ;-; ) For some reason I know 2/3 of them, yeh large families...

I know all of my aunts, uncles, and cousins, but if you ask me about second cousins or a great aunt or something, I wouldn't have a clue.

When I was little, we were going to the botanical garden closest to where I live and we stopped at a restaurant where everyone knew who I was, but I knew none of them. Turned out my aunt was the boss of all these people and it was a place where family has worked for years.

Most of both sides of my family dont get along so this has never happened to me.
