What made Mianite special was that at core, it was vanilla, and yet it still managed to be unique. Now, it's just another modded survival series like there's so many already...

Exactly. You can go to any channel and find a modded survival - I haven't seen a good vanilla series asides from Mianite on anyone's channel. It just needs to be natural, and not add so much new content.

Good vanilla series are rare pearls, Modded series are everywhere... If at least it was like a Mianite mod or something, or if they at least introduced the mods progressively instead of all at once, it would've been better...

I know your comment was made a little less than four months ago, but I was thinking as I read this comment that maybe if they had introduced mods progressively then no one would be given a bunch of crap for being a "copy-cat" when no one was really copying anyone.

Yes, probably. To be honest, now that we're so far into s2 I don't really mind the mods too much anymore, but a sense of progression still could've been good

I would be fine if it was just the small mods like Hats and Morph, and I've been wanting Health Indicators for ages, but anything more than that is just way too excessive. The only 'major' mod I like that adds a lot of content into the gameplay is Orespawn and I know that's definitely not going in Mianite because it's too OP.

True... I thought it was the Yogscast complete pack at first, but it's so similar it may as well be. I considered not watching any more livestreams of that so it wouldn't alter my view of my Mianite fanfictions. Then I realized I was running out of ideas for the fanfictions anyway so I could just end off that little series in a few weeks.

The plot is really the only thing keeping me going, and they better close off all the plot holes and make something epic, because right now...

I ended up watching the wizard's POV today and I think I may actually stick with watching them because they have a much more interesting place in the storyline (if they'll ever stop breaking the fourth wall...). The only downside is Matt singing for new subscribers. My ears are broken as of now.

Well, they're going to be staying out of the way of the normal crew for the most part, but they did mention they're sort of not-friends with Dec. They're on a quest to regain their powers whilst building a literal 'Fyre' house, trying to find diamonds, and fending off Mr. T creepers. It's quite amusing so far!
