Nefarious Tropy might have been created due to the artist(s) being inspired by various individuals at the time, but, everyone says that Tropy looks a lot like Jafar. I did read the commentary that they did used some inspiration from the first Aladdin movie.
The N Sane version of Dr. N Tropy now looks like a blue-faced Dick Dastardly.
