BTW, in few words I always like/try to "cage" rounded shapes in squared ones and vice versa.

Much time has passed for me to remeber how it did come out... I just can tell that I like to play w/ Gimp... years ago I did play more w/ Gimp and often drawings like this one came out... it's was and still it is a fight between me and my skill using Gimp trying to do achieve certain effects, mostly shadows and edges... anyways everything started from scratch, an empty/white Gimp layer and a palette that I used then for almost any drawings of that time.

long since i've used gimp or photoshop to make something 'from scratch'.
these days i'm mostly trying to see what a photo can reveal, if it is pressed a little.
the little planet/polar coordinatesΒ filter is one of my favourite ways. the overall resulting shape is the same - the 'eye in the sky' or the bull's eye, or the centripetal rays. but every base- photo gives its original contribution.
but you are right that the shape in itself seems to be universally attractive/ hypnotizing to people

I couldn't find a better word to express what made me "do" that drawing, also considering the song/music I linked in its description.
