I always liked the Patlabor series, even if I'm more of an AT fan at heart.

Thank you! Out of all of the robot themed anime series, Patlabor has got to be my favorite. Specifically the first two movies. They are by far the best anime movies (imho) made. Wasted Thirteen, the third movie, was good.....but there was something lacking in it for me....

The same counts for me. Patlabor has a certain kind of realism to it I enjoy quite a lot. Wasted Thirteen was indeed lacking... it was well drawn and such but focus on labors and the original team was gone. It was good as you said but thats it. At least the mini pato feature was a good laugh. Who knows they might try another movie.

I HOPE they make another movie. While I think there is something that is lost when they switch to CG, I would like to see a full length feature film done in CG.

There is that live action OVA series, but it doesn't seem to be doing that well in terms of viewership.

Shame it probably wont happen any time soon (CG or 2d wise) even so at least there are the dvd's and fan art.
