Act I

Johanna was lying on a sofa in one of the old classrooms. She had on her long white sweater and her jeans, and was chewing on a lollipop while she was looking though the newspaper. Then she heard a familiar voice coming from one of the two bathrooms.
"I think this should do"
It was Edward, Johanna's boyfriend, who was standing in front of one of the bathrooms. Johanna looked up from the newspaper. He was wearing a black suit with a green tie and black shoes.
"Wow", she said, "You look..."
"Absolutely stupid?" Ed replied with a laugh. Johanna smiled.
"I was going for 'really handsome', but if you prefer stupid..." Johanna said smilingly and walked up to him, gave him a kiss on the cheek. He smiled.
"So, where's your dress?" Ed asked.
"Oh yeah... Um... I don't think it's in here..."
"It must be, I saw you carrying it inside"
"Yeah, but then it just... disappeared" Johanna said, as her eyes searched across the room to the corner where the sofa was. There was a black bag slightly hidden between the sofa and the wall. Ed's face split up in a grin.
"Are you sure?" he asked.
"Yes, it isn't here" Johanna answered, now looking at Ed.
"Then what is this?" Ed started to walk towards the black bag. Johanna's eyes widened in panic. She started to run towards the bag, but Edward was faster.
"Looks like I found it", Ed said with a grin on his face.
"No!" she shouted. "I don't want to wear it!"
"Why not?", he asked.
"Because... Because it's pink! Pink! I look like a pig if I'm wearing pink!"
"Oh come on, it can't be that bad. You're beautiful no matter what you wear"
"...Fine. But I don't have any jewelry" Ed pulled out a smaller, light-blue bag out of the black one.
"...Makeup?" Johanna tried. Ed pulled out another bag from the bigger one, this one was dark red.
"Fine, I'll go and change!" Johanna said, took the bags and marched off to the bathroom where Ed came from.

A few minutes had passed when Matthew, a boy roughly the same age as Ed , came into the room. He was also wearing a black suit, black shoes, but with a blue tie instead of green.
"Hey", Matt said with a laugh, "You're almost looking good Edward"
"And you're not that bad looking yourself Matthew", Ed replied. Matt walked over and sat down next to Ed on the sofa.
They went over different ways of how they could get their hands on a special ring, before a man called "Zerox" got it. The ring is one of the three "World Rings", and if one have all three of them you get one wish. That's why Ed, Matt and Johanna needed to get the rings, because if they didn't; the whole world could be in danger. But luckily, Matt had the second one of the world rings, while Zerox had none, which gave them the advantage.
And now there had opened up an opportunity for them to get another one of the rings. A well known villain called Boroti, also the owner of the first world ring, was having a banquet for loads of people, all of them wealthy and form the upperclass. Matthew had been able to get them all fake IDs for the banquet, which would be their only chance to get the ring.

When they had been sitting there for almost fifteen minutes they heard a groan come from the bathroom where Johanna was changing into her dress.
"Are you alright?" Ed asked, slightly worried.
"Yeah, fine" Johanna said, "It's just... I can't get my hair to look the way I want it to"
"I'm sure it looks fine"
"Ha! You should see it, I look like a troll that tried to use a straightener, but failed. Badly. It's a complete mess, that's what it is."
"I'm sure it's not that bad" Matt said "Come on out now so we can have a look at you"
"Alright, alright, I'm coming"
Johanna opened the door and went out into the room. Edward and Matthew just stared at her. She was wearing a pink dress that was pretty tight around her chest and stomach, and got wider around the waist, got more and more layers which made the bottom almost three times as big as the top of the dress. The dress had lots of pearls and fake diamonds in bands under her breast and around her waist. It went down to her feet, hiding a pair of white high heels, that also had some pearls and fake diamonds on them. The dress had two straps around her neck and had a quite deep neckline. She had two big, and yet again fake, diamond earrings, a matching necklace and a matching bracelet. Some of her long brown hair was pulled away from her face, attached with a few hairpins with pearls in the back of her head. The rest was hanging down freely.
"Well...?" she asked.
"Wow... You look... beautiful" Matthew said with a tone of surprise in his voice. "Do you have the fake ring?"
"Yep. It's right here" Johanna said and pointed at one of her breasts. Matt and Ed gave each other a look of confusion.
"Oh, come on" Johanna said with a slight blush on her cheeks, "I don't have any pockets to put it in, and this was the best place I could find!"
"Well, as long as it works for you" Matt said. "Now that we're ready we can go down to the limo. It should be here by now"
"A limo?" Johanna asked "Wow, you really know how to blend into the higher circles."

"Ed, are you okay?" Johanna asked when they had been in the limousine for a few minutes.
"What? Oh yeah, I'm fine" he replied.
"It was just... You've been so quiet. You haven't said a word since I showed what I looked like in the dress... Is it something wrong with it?"
"No no, it's nothing wrong with it"
"Then what is it?"
"It's... When you showed up in the dress... You literally took my breath away. I couldn't say a single word" Edward said with a hint of blush on his cheeks.
"...Then you should see me in a blue dress, you'd probably faint" Johanna laughed.
"Yeah, probably" Ed said, laughing a little.
"Hm... I'm wondering if..." Johanna mumbled when she touched her lips and then looked at her finger.
"Wondering if what?" Ed asked.
Johanna leaned over, closed her eyes and kissed Edward gently on his lips. Johanna felt how Ed slightly winced in surprise from the kiss. Seconds later she slowly moved away and looked at him. A smile spread across her face.
"Nope, didn't work" she said and started to laugh.
"What didn't work?" Ed asked, a bit worried.
"You'll see" Johanna gave him a mirror and a napkin. When Ed looked into the mirror he couldn't help but laugh; Johanna's lipstick had smeared across his lips too.
"Ah, well, you know, this isn't really my color so I'll wipe it off if that's okay with you"
"Yeah, that's fine" Johanna replied, still laughing a little. Ed took the napkin to wipe the lipstick off, but just before he reached his mouth he got an idea.
"While the damage is still done" he said, and reached over to Johanna and softly kissed her lips. Johanna blushed, but she happily responded to the kiss.

"Could you two lovebirds look over here for a sec?" Matt asked after about a minute. When Matthew saw Ed's face, a big grin spread across his face.
"You know, Edward, you really should have lipstick more often, it suits you"
"Shut up" Ed said, and started to wipe off the lipstick. Matt continued.
"Now I think I've finally come up with the best way to get the ring"
