It was barely morning, darkness lingered here and there. Making the environment look somber almost evil.

Sheba felt empty…She did not know what to do. No, this matter wasn’t about loyalty it was about herself.

“A scar will never define who you are."

Aeverie words had hit her hard, but the scar was still there.

“No matter how many scars you have, though, you’ll always be Sheba to me.”

Those have been Orpheus’, different words yet same meaning. With Abel she had been able to open her eye, with little struggle but she managed. Lies had been her safe heaven so the truth wouldn’t reach her.

Yet she had to acknowledge it, she was blind in one eye. So here she was, on the plains waiting for sunrise, to watch endless blue become precious light. The night will still be her favorite time of the day.

The morning star showed and with it the beautiful yellowish light of the rising sun. She briefly opened both eyes, blurs coming from her left but no longer shadows. The sky still looked gorgeous. A clouded orb was her reminder of the War, and still part of her past.

Wasn’t that her motto? Leave the past so one could enjoy the present? She had forgotten about it in her own veil so the truth would be blocked. The first breeze of the morning swayed her fur, she leaned forward eyes closed to enjoy the freshness of the wind. Tears gathered on her optics, water rolled down both unscarred and scarred cheeks.

She was not going to hide anymore, no lies would linger, and truth would come forward. Icy gaze opened once more, smirking…
