Synopsis:
The video begins as a VHS recording of a weather forecast for the region of Misty Point, on the evening of Sunday, June 27th, though no year is provided. The forecast shows fog and high humidity, with a current temperature of 65°F. As the weather conditions are displayed, a ticker roll continues along the bottom, advertising local tours of the Misty Point Lighthouse and the abandoned cemetery.
However, within the span of about 30 minutes, the weather deteriorates, with storm conditions becoming so bad (with wind gusts accelerating to 70 MPH and higher, capping at 130 MPH) that the ticker roll announces that those living in Misty Point, Indigo Shoals and Lucid Cove must remain indoors; this is later escalated to a full evacuation. This is added to by the ticker roll warning people to stay away from the Misty Point Lighthouse and to cover any reflective surfaces. Radar screens display a massive storm engulfing the aforementioned coastal locations. At this time, a strange, lavender-colored interference is seen on the television screen.
The lavender light continues to disrupt the forecast repeatedly in a cyclical pattern, and the ticker roll warns of a contorted "face" in the light. This Face appears on the final radar screen in the imaging off the coast, before the light ends the forecast abruptly. The channel's title card appears, showing the Misty Point Lighthouse now covered in a thready, weblike membrane; it is revealed that the lighthouse is the source of the lavender beam. As the light focuses on the screen once more, the viewer sees the image of The Face in the midst of the light.
The video then cuts to the Oceanview Weather Channel card, and the video is stopped. Finally, the Eventide Media Center credits roll.
