Description The holotype specimen of Isaberrysaura has been preserved with fossilized stomach contents. Within the ribcage, a mass of fossilized seeds was discovered; the first preserved meal uncovered in a basal ornithischian. The big seeds are cycadales of the family Zamiineae whereas the smaller seeds are still indeterminate. The intact nature of the sarcotesta in the largest seeds suggests that Isaberrysaura swallowed the seeds whole without chewing and that they were in the first stages of digestion based on their position in the gut.

This piece really nails the supposed stegosaurian nature of this genus! Great job! (the rest of this comment section is very strange lol)

Y lo curioso es que parece que es un estegosaurio, después de todo...

To play devil's advocate XStream, it is shown eating in both images to demonstrate the diet; such a situation's depictions would be very similar if you want them to be clear/properly understood.

That said, I think it would be wise to change the piece to look different or link to the inspiration in the description.

Not for Isaberrysaura. So, bad example.

But they are not in the same pose.

Okay. Well, I said what I needed to. No need for further arguing.

I will speak up because I am tired of seeing this type of childish behavior on DA.

Both pieces are profile views of the same animal. Of course they are going to look similar. What was he supposed to do, sacrifice the scientific accuracy of the reconstruction because it looks vaguely similar to another artist's drawing of the same animal? By your logic every paleoartist who draws his dinosaurs in profile is a plagiarist. Ironically, one could say the Giganotosaurus in your profile picture looks an awful lot like the one from Wikipedia.

Not only is the similarity pure coincidence and completely understandable, it is even to be expected. This is not an original character or concept; it is a real animal and therefore certain features (morphology, behavior, posture) will be consistent across all depictions. Your accusation is illogical and borderline ridiculous.

That being said, I do not even think the resemblance is "uncanny" at all. Hyrotrioskjan rendered his Isaberrysaura with furry integument. Lucas chose to leave the skin bare. Look at the evocative pencil work, careful shading, and skillfully rendered scales and wrinkles. This guy knows what he's doing. This is the work of an artist, not a copycat hack.

It is obvious that both artists put a lot of effort into these pieces. Claiming that one is derivative of the other is an insult to their artistic talents.

You're just making false claims. We've already settled this argument. You would have known that if you kept reading the comments.
