Validos de múltiples sensores visuales esparcidos por todo su cuerpo, son capaces de procesar, trabajar y moverse a velocidades muy altas. Una sola de estas sondas, bien implementada, puede comprometer severamente la integridad de todo tipo de instalaciones en cuestión de minutos, horas o días, dependiendo del tamaño y la complejidad que estas tengan.
Son desplegadas, por lo general, antes de una invasión a gran escala allanando el terreno a la fuerza principal y generando caos en las filas del enemigo. Aunque pueden usarse simplemente para destruir o dañar instalaciones en cualquier lugar que haga falta, para perjudicar o "dar a entender su punto" a un adversario, no estando limitado exclusivamente al marco de conquistas galácticas.
Costosos y muy avanzados, resultan extremadamente escurridizos y eficaces.
Son abocados principalmente al sabotaje, pero en caso de ser necesario, se activará un modo de combate: Una unidad de percepción adicional y un cañón de electrones que se despliegan de su cabeza. Estos, sumados a su instrumental, que va desde cuchillas y pinzas hasta sopletes y soldadores, le permiten defenderse de atacantes y hasta incluso ejecutar misiones secundarias de asesinato. De todas maneras, a causa de lo caros que son, están programados para ser cautelosos, evitar enfrentamientos directos y eliminar objetivos legítimos solo cuando la situación le es favorable.
Terminado un trabajo la sonda volverá volando al origen de la señal por medio de un par de propulsores pensados para un único vuelo.
Si la unidad, por alguna razón, ha sido gravemente dañada o se ve sin escapatoria, lanzará únicamente su memoria de regreso para luego inmolarse mediante un potente explosivo que destruirá todo a varios metros y no dejando ni rastro de si mismo. La memoria puede ser interceptada antes de que llegue a destino, pero al ser considerablemente más pequeña que la sonda original, rara vez hay éxito, por lo que los datos de inteligencia siguen llegando a manos de su amo.

Saboteur probes are an advanced class of stealth engineering drones, designed for infiltration and sabotage of critical infrastructure.
Armed with multiple visual sensors scattered throughout their body, they are capable of processing, working and moving at very high speeds. A single one of these probes, properly deployed, can severely compromise the integrity of all types of facilities in a matter of minutes, hours or days, depending on their size and complexity.
They are usually deployed prior to a large-scale invasion, paving the way for the main force and creating chaos in the enemy ranks. Although they can be used simply to destroy or damage facilities anywhere they are needed to damage or "make a point" to an adversary, they are not limited exclusively to the framework of galactic conquests.
Costly and highly advanced, they are extremely elusive and effective.
They are mainly dedicated to sabotage, but if necessary, a combat mode will be activated: an additional perception unit and an electron cannon deployed from their head. These, together with their instruments, which range from blades and tweezers to blowtorches and welders, allow them to defend themselves against attackers and even carry out secondary assassination missions. However, because they are so expensive, they are programmed to be cautious, avoid direct confrontation and eliminate legitimate targets only when the situation is favorable.
Once a job is finished, the probe will fly back to the source of the signal by means of a pair of thrusters designed for a single flight.
If the unit, for some reason, has been severely damaged or has no escape, it will launch only its memory back and then immolate itself by means of a powerful explosive that will destroy everything several meters away, leaving no trace of itself.
