Story:
Month 1, Day 10
I've been foraging for food. It's been 10 days since those in-laws moved in. They practically took our whole savings worth of food! Not everything, but...I'm a bird who eats most on average, but still as fit as a fiddle, if I do say so myself. Why does mother seem so happy about having them over? Isn't she hungry too?
Month 1, Day 11
Mother says she doesn't mind not having food. Well, she was always the kind and sweet-hearted one. I told her I'd go explore for more food. I went searching, and I happened to stumble by my old fish friend. I must be hallucinating over hunger, because he had sprout fins, a watercress tail, and...was that spinach behind him? I was drooling too. Most birds don't drool, but..goodness, who knows what I've been through!
