Description
“Cutting through thick fog, the Terrorbeak Hawk strikes with intense precision and sadistic enjoyment. Not to be confused with Bird-like Dragons, these Dragon-like birds are one of the few species found to hunt for sport.”“Terrorbeak Hawk; [Ter-er-beek Hawk]”
“The common Terrorbeak has an average lifespan of 15 years and grows to an average size of 7 feet and 6 inches or 2.28 meters tall with a wingspan of 9 to 10 feet or 2.74 to 3.04 meters. Despite being found in the forests and mountains of Estea, this nocturnal beast is still a rare sight, even rarer to see one not hunting. As its dark scales and capability to emit clouds of smog helps it remain hidden throughout its prowl. However, what sets this beast apart from the other creatures of Estea is how the Terrorbeak boasts an intellect that rivals Corvids. Gaining its infamy due to the sadistic methods that this hawk utilizes its intelligence, finding enjoyment through exploiting the fears of its prey. With most of what it hunts being what are commonly deemed as cute animals or pets. Socially, Terrorbeak Hawks are remarkably ruthless to anything that isn’t one of their own. Even then, these creatures live in a strict hierarchy where even the young and weak of the group are at risk if the flock sees fit. Legends say that the flock leaders, regarded as Terrorbeak Kings, boast drastic biological differences to the common kind; typically having darker scales, larger horns, as well as a much larger body size.”
“In spite of their current reputation, in recent years Terrorbeak behavior has altered dramatically. Whether it was intentional or not, Terrorbeak hunts have shifted towards targeting a new invasive species. Being one of the few to prey on this species, it paves the way for maintaining the health of Estea’s ecosystem. Which would be such a great thing if it weren’t for the fact that the public is enthralled with how cute said species is.”
“Even though I personally like the Terrorbeak hawk…”
