Description
I kind of happy that my first comic were X-force (more specifically 90s Cable vs Stryfe run)Not sure I would give a damn about comics if I started from Batman or Superman.
Pose sucks, I still can't draw guns.
Resume: need more practice.

If so, then you captured the essence of '90s Marvel Art perfectly.

Oh yes, I've seen...
I don't even need to click those links.
I have only one question "Why?"
...
At least Cable looks cool.

I dunno, I think I like her look here more than her comics incarnation. They probably did it because she looks cool. But why does it make you unhappy?
And Cable does look cool, too. His gun has a dial on it that goes up to 11.

She looks cool, but still "why?"
My opinion is: any adaptation for big screen should be as close as possible to source material.
Have you ever heard about Japanese filmmaker Takashi Miike?
I noticed him after live action "Yatterman" (oh, that Doronjo )
I like his approach to adaptations. "No matter how ridiculous source is - be close as possible".
Think about that: dude managed to make adaptations of Zebraman manga... and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

I understand your concern, but I am of the opinion that as long as the adaptation carries the spirit of the original work, then any stylistic choices can be waved off. Look at Watchmen. The film adaptation did a decent job of captured the visual design and theme of the original comic, but its adaptation of the story and characters was abysmal.
As for why Domino has a different look... why not? She looks distinct enough for me. There's a dearth of superheroines who are black and also rock natural hair. I mean, visual accuracy is great, but if the creators want to take Domino in a new direction, appearance-wise, then I have no issue. I just hope her performance is as good as her appearance.

I would never say anything bad about Liefeld.
He may be not so good artist.
But he is creative, hardworking and nice guy in general.
...Besides I freaking love 90s comics.
Thank you
