Based off other weird wasps I looked up while bored.I know, I'm hella late jumpin' on this bandwagon, but Pokemon's always relevant.

The cow killer somehow looks really cute for a killer

I knoooow, Cow Killers actually look like big, fuzzy, red and black ants! They're normally called Cow Killer Ants because the females that most people see can't fly, so they get mistaken for ants. But they're very painful stinging wasps, apparently, and the males can deeeefinitely fly.

Too bad RWBY doesn't go a bit more in depth into what the Rapier Wasps look like... They sound like they'd be a cool fictional variation.
