Description
Total Time: Approx. 5 or 6 hours. Here's another drawing of myself as sort of a dragon/demon whatever? (there's actually nothing similar to myself except the hair.... cause I like my hair I guess?? I dunno...)
I had this sketch lying around for months and I really wanted to get the values of the original thumbnail to end up in the final! Since I usually struggle with this a lot, I decided to work in black and white the whole way through. I meant to add colour in afterwards but I desperately scribbled for nearly an hour with no results. I have no idea how to overlay colours over this that don't suck :/ SO HERE'S THE MONOCHROME VERSION! : >
Also, I not only need to work on values, I need to work on proper shading and lighting too. I imagined this light source is a bright light, like a fire, in a dark cave. It's probably what startled me so much.

This is looking good! The value is very strong here ^^ Though... did you mean achromatic instead of monochromatic in the description? XD

Thanks!!
Nope! Monochromatic does mean black and white colloquially. "Monochromatism" means complete colour blindness, which is where the word comes from.... though I realize that's sort of misleading because it implies there IS one colour.... shrugs??

Weeeeird, I didn't know that.... in Color Theory, monochromatic refers to the use of one color with tints and shades, which I think would look really good in this piece you did here if you decide to go back and try color o: So I guess monochromatic means one thing in art terms and another thing in medical terms? How do English???? LOL
Anyway, I didn't mean to try and correct you or anything-- I just wanted to help recommend like, color schemes that might look good here since you said you had trouble with adding color, and I ended up confusing myself XD sorry about that!

DUDE!! That's so cool, I didn't know there was a dumb linguistic difference but it's actually fascinating to hear.
