Very old, weird and definitely magical
Okay... I've been so tired of all the realistic, safe pictures of animals and I've just had to paint something non-realistic and funny
And this was fun, that's for sure - I finally tried a new paper, Arches hot-press - it doesn't have such a smooth feeling I like on my illustration boards, but it much better allows wet in wet technique.Original is for sale... if you're interested, just send me a note or an email and I'll be happy to reply

Do you prefer hot press better than cold press? Do you have a brand of watercolors that you prefer using?

I prefer hot press, certainly, it allows more detailed work, which is something I usually paint

This is an ethereal and dream-like piece of work with a particularly mesmerising atmosphere that draws the viewer into the intricacies and flowing lines of the composition. Great stuff, without doubt.
