A music comic I came up with from watching the Muppet Show episode guest-starring Marisa Berenson, which featured a segment where she performed the song "You're Always Welcome at Our House". I was delighted by this darkly humorous song, moreso after finding out that it was originally written by the late Shel Silverstein, the same guy who gave us "A Boy Named Sue" and whose children's books I grew up with.

Since the whole song was about a family cheerfully greeting the listener while not even trying to hide that they've murdered everyone who visits them, it just made too much sense to have the Addams Family perform this song (keeping my fingers crossed that this song gets included in the sequel to the 2019 film, even if only during the end credits). The Addamses have been known to be obliviously dangerous to their guests due to not being aware that not everyone can survive their kinds of pastimes, and in their defense, most of the people they killed were ones not many would have missed anyway.

As a stylistic choice (inspired by the Global Jam tribute to the Bill Plympton short "Your Face" where they edited together clips of various animator's own takes on the original short of a man whose face kept changing in surreal and bizarre ways while he was singing a beautiful love song), I've decided to draw Wednesday, Pugsley, Grandmama, Lurch, Cousin Itt, Thing, Gomez, Morticia and Uncle Fester in the style of a different Addams Family continuity for each verse.

The first verse of knocking out a broom salesman with a hammer and hiding him in a closet has the family in the style of Charles Addams' original New Yorker cartoons, the second verse with the truant officer being poisoned and stuffed in the freezer is done in the style of the 1973 Hanna-Barbera cartoon, the penultimate verse of the boy trying to retrieve his ball only to be sealed behind a wall in the basement is drawn in the style of the 1992 Hanna-Barbera cartoon (my favorite continuity) and the final verse passive-aggressively threatening to cook the listener alive has the family drawn in the style of the 2019 CGI film.
