This year I am facing a Christmas with two cats. It was already hard to have Christmas decorations with one cat...The 'kitten' (she actually is quite big for her age, only 600 grams less than my 6 year old cat) is still 'destroying' the house as it is: hiding under the carpet, climbing on the curtains, stealing my erasers, opening my drawers and hiding in there etc. I've had soooo many cats over the years, but none that was so naughty as she is XD. This year I will have to replace my beloved glass Christmas decorations with plastic ones

Indeed. Cats always mean chaos, but they are irresistibly cute. I already cuddle every stray cat I meet on the streets (there, they can't make a mess anyway, lol). Once me and my husband can afford a bigger home, we will also adopt a cat...but NOT before we didn't make the house cat-safe. XD

That is why we don't decorate and have Christmas things at my grandma's xD, I have three catsΒ

Mom will not accept the option without a Christmas tree. I can almost see them jumping and destroying everything XD. You tell them to stop, they look you straight in the eye while continuing what they are doing. This is how cats work. They understand, but they refuse to obey 90% of the time.

Yeah, we also can't put a tree up, my mom is allergic to real trees and is 100% allergic to the fake ones, she breaks out in a rash, I don't know if it's something in the needles or what xD so no tree for us, Grandma puts up a little one though, a three inch one, there's no more little kids to celebrate here in my family xD And I know right, we got a real tree once when I still lived with my grandma and her cat was alot younger, she knocked down the tree several times a day, broke the decorations, mom and grandma where sicker than dogs, me and grandpa had stuffy noses, cat was the only happy one xD

We are always using artificial trees...it's less messy (no 'needles' around the house). That story of yours sounds hilarious...at least concerning the cat. I can relate. Cats celebrate Christmas in their own way XD.

Yeah it was funny, now the cat is so old she hardly does anything, our cats are more lively, but we had to get rid of our tree, it was old and smelled of cat pee, and my mom kept breaking out everytime we put it up, and it was a artificial tree

That's understandable. Β Allergies are nasty... and so different for each person: peanuts, strawberries, certain medicine, fish, fur, certain ingredients from beauty products etc. I knew a girl who had a serious allergy from bleaching/hair dye and had to be hospitalized.Β

Yeah. I have bad allergies to medicines, Cats and Dogs, but I still own them anyway, their fur don't really bother me, only certain breeds really get me stuffed up.

Wow...sorry to hear that....but you are right there are breeds that can cause trouble, but also ones that are hypoallergenic (Russian Blues for example).
