Just a quick painting for Sajhiri's contest.A Berceuse is a lullaby.. I'm currently playing Blumenfeld's "Berceuse Op. 23 No.3" for piano, and its very lovely, and stuck in my head while I was painting this. Somehow the classicalness rubbed off on this painting..
This time I try to tone down the colors I used.. my previous paintings sort of burned into my eyes. I wasn't sure about the cropping, but.. I decided to just leave it like this, cos it sorta looks nicer.
Done with watercolors.. about an hour XD.

at the bottom of the dress, where there are little bits of white and the 'x' tha make it look like its sparlking.
did u use masking fluid and an eraser for that?

This is such a nice picture!! I really how she looked delicate... It was an interesting pose you put her in... I especially liked her hair and her dress... The dress is so unique!! In one aspect it looks like space but it also looks like the crashing of a wave... Great job!!

Brilliant! I know a lot of people hate to hear someone say this, but she looks just like a character from the story I'm writing, which is saying something, as she's the most beautiful person in the world. I've been wondering for a long time what she really looks like, and I think I've finally seen her in this lovely work.
