It's the traditional dress of Indonesia and Malaysia I believe..

why you didn't use the "batik pattern" for the dress/fabric?..it will look more gorgeous.
sorry for asking this again..but I feel proud and honored you draw something with traditional value on it ^^

I want it to be a modern style satin kebaya.. but I did put some songket patterns in it.. I think batik is a different aesthetic though, it's more colorful and girlish, kebaya/songket style is more matured. Maybe next time I will do a batik design painting I love it too.

Indeed, you've got a good grasp of fabric flow.

You know, for Kiki's Delivery Service, Miyazaki spent two weeks sitting in a park drawing the way the wind and walking made the fabric of women's skirts move. That would be creepy for anybody else but Miyazaki.

This is extremely beautiful. I love the flow of the gown and the posture that she is holding. I feel it is very strong and you did a fantastic job. I cannot wait to see the rest

I love the way she looks so seductive, as if unawares or uncaring of the blood on her dress and hair pin. Beautiful.
