Beautiful picture

Whenever a human passes by, she would offer the flowers, saying she was lonely, and that if they took the bouquet, she could leave. If they were accepted, the human who touched them would become one of the fly traps. If they declined and moved on, they would become one of the doomed butterflies. She is doomed to continue this task until someone kind comes and offers to keep her company when she tells them she is lonely.

ooh, so this was posted a long time ago, but I guess I can still try to guess the story?

I would say that the girl was once innocent and loved butterflies, yet became entangled by a spell, represented by the red streaks that seem to envelop and chain her in one spot. This enchantment uses her love for butterflies to attract them in and devour them. The life force of the butterflies is used to sustain the girl, and create new life throughout the forest, represented by the grass growing in her hands.

Therefore, even though her heart aches with the death of each precious and simple butterfly, the girl continues attracting them so life can continue.

Or...at least, that's what I got from it ^_^

if you take the flowers you will suffer her fate, waiting until someone frees you from the ground by taking the bouquet and passing the curse on to themselves

Nice!!

I think...

Her parents were faires in the forbiden woods and were unnable to get out of there. The faires must marrie their same expicies. The fairy girl went out of the woods to look for things that werent related to her. Naturally she fell in love of this handsome prince and wanted to marry him, but the fairy people didnt like the idea and in the day of her wedding the faires took her into the woods and sealed her in the cave of agony to remain there until her handsome prince go and take her but first had to pass through all the smell of the poison. But the prince couldnt reach her so instead of becoming happy her bouquet became extremely dangerous. The rumor is: if you took that bouquet and give it to a bride this one will become flesh for the forbidden fairy!! xD Enjoy

My blurb:

The plant is poison, to touch it is to feel the agony of death.
But the woman is doomed to suffer eternal life, tied to this place until someone asks not for the flowers, but the roots, which can bring a person back from the dead.

what I think is happening is that dis female was cursed and had to live her life in the forbidden forest. the only hope lifting the curse is to get someone to take her boutique of poisnous flowers and love her. But it never happens since no one ever comes to the forbidden forset. Only one day...

Once, there was a lovely, quiet girl who was much too shy to approach the young men in her village. She was a bit peculiar, having a fascination with insects of all sorts, especially the metamorphosing butterfly. The girl was very compassionate towards living things and enjoyed raising her own butterflies in the cocoons.

They were her only friends, and although her neighbors knew very little of the girl, they greatly admired her butterflies, for there were no others that were as beautiful than the ones raised under her care.
One day, as she released some of her fully matured butterflies into the forest, she discovered a sickly cat in and took it to her home to care for it. Though the animal was behaving strangely, she thought it only to be a sign of his illness. When she returned home, the poor animal's skin was torn open to reveal that it had been eaten from the inside and inhabited by a crafty, skin stealing goblin-demon.

The neighbors heard the distressed cry of the girl in the night and came to see what was the matter. When they arrived, they found the girl alone in her home. Though she was paler than she should have been, and there was a distant look in her eyes. Nonetheless, she assured them that she had only seen a mouse, and that there was nothing wrong.
Had they have only looked behind her, they would have seen the legs of the puppeteering demon still dangling out from her back.

In the passing days, when the demon began to grow hungry again, the young men of the village took notice of the the beautiful girl suddenly becoming quite the...social butterfly. She became very flirtatious, but drew the young men away when they noticed that there was a horrible smell coming from her. It smelled like decaying meat.

Frustrated, the demon in the skin of the girl hid himself away in the forest and surrounded himself with sweet-smelling flowers to mask the stench of rot. He collected a bouquet of the most fragrant and sweet flowers that he could find, then took to lurking along the side of the road. He met a handsome young merchant early that evening, when the twilight was just beginning to come.
He was surprised to find such a lovely woman all alone this far away from town with the night quickly coming in.
Unfortunately, that wasn't his last surprise.

Disturbed by the lack of activity in the girl's house and worried about her health due to her strange behavior, her neighbors went to check on her after several days of inactivity. They found only a pile of half-decayed cat skin and fur.
It wasn't until several days later when they discovered her robes crumpled up on the side of the forest road. When they went to pick up the robes,There was a sick 'lop' of something falling inside of them. Her decayed skin and hair had been left behind in the robes, but there was no skeleton or body to be found.

(Inspired by the phrase 'Nekokaburi', which literally means 'to wear the skin of a cat'. Also loosely by the Heian story of the 'rincess who loved insects'. I think there's also a story somewhere about a goblin or demon that controls the body of a beautiful girl like a puppet.)

Beautiful work! I love how her face is in focus, but the rest is very blurry, surreal, and dreamlike. Very ephemeral qualities to this piece. I would guess that something happened to her as a child. Perhaps she was killed and this was her ghost luring other to the same fate.

I think it symbolizes the enticing allure of beauty, and how it can trap you. As if she will draw you in and get you in her clutches only to destroy the peace she once had. LOL. Thats just me though.

She was originally a big flesh eating plant and she noticed the more she ate beautifull things, she will become beautifull too !
so she lures in pretty flesh to eat them , in this case for the butterflies with pretty flowers.

A curse fell upon the land, as the princess was lured by the sweetest of the skies gifts. One night the butterflies came to her, the sweet smell of white lilies leading her into the forests depths.
But it was a trap!
Limbs and spells wove around, and she the very princess, most beloved in the land was changed.
A demon, forever to lure the foolish with her sweet eyes, and soft skin.
Only to be devoured by the creature who held a innocent soul.

Beware the butterflies...

She hates insects.

Those are only her food.

So if you choose to take the bouquet instead of her, you'll be devoured like the insect you are.

Be true, you want the flowers or you want her

Be proud and be honest, take what you want.

Others may see your rudness as a signal of a monster, but a monster is needed to espouse another monster.

The others may be afraid, but why would you care of them?

Her boquet is poisonous. I can't quite remember the name of those flowers, but they look like orchids? Maybe? Correct me if I'm wrong. But american indians used them to make a sort of drug that caused the mind to be fascinated with everything. Kind of like a trippy, stoned feeling from what I gather. But she uses this fascination to lure you in and eat you...or do other terrible things to you...that you normally might not like.
I'd like to see a few sharper outlines around the focal point, but otherwise it's gorgeous. A nice conceptual piece!

Hm...its clear that she's using the bouquet to attract food and then eat them. Its not like she wants to do it...but she has to do it for some unknown reason and it pains her. Wait, she's either pained, or emotionless and doesn't give a damn about anything, or had too much trauma that she became apathetic towards the world.

Thats my story of her.

She continues to wait until she dies and then haunts the meeting place, luring unexpected couples to violent deaths...0_O!

Here's my interpretation~ (sorry for the length)
The girl lived her life playing with the flowers and butterflies of an old and beautiful forest all her life, living in a peaceful village nearby. However, one day, a creature suddenly appeared in the village, gorging on whatever and whomever it laid its eyes on. Soon after, the creature moved to the once-mystical forest, and claimed itself to be the forest deity, and, upon his periods of lust and hunger, demanded for beautiful girls to be brought to him.

Sometime passed before the village was blessed with a girl child so beautiful and strikingly likeable, that even the horrible creature agreed that she alone could satisfy his need. The villagers, after learning of the creature's desire for this young girl, chose her to be the next sacrifice to the "forest deity". They dressed her up in elegant gowns and patted her face with blush. However, no matter what they do, the girl's lips simply will not blossom like the red rose which the creature so adores. However, the creature's impatient howling spared them no time to fluster over the girl's looks. As the girl was brought into the forest, no one had detected the sense of longing, the look of sadness, desperation, and danger flashing through her eyes. After leavin the girl at the entrance of the forest, the villagers all stood back as she silently intruded into the forest, her long gown giving her an almost ghostly look. That was the last the villagers ever saw of her.

From that day on, the village was no longer plagued by the demands of the creature or the incessant glutony and lust that dwelled in its heart. At the same time though, none of the villagers would ever dare linger near the forest, let alone venture into it, though no one quite knew why. Then one day, several decades after the last sacrifice was made, a young man from the village saw a figure at the outskirts of the forest as he was leaving for a far away town. The girl was unlike any girl in the village, with the most luscious face, the most elegant gown, and the blackest of all hair. The strangest thing about the girl however, was that her eyes were full of loneliness, and of a black so deep they resemble a dark void. Not only that, but the girl was also holding a bouquet of flowers, innocent and pure looking...

A few years later, the young man returned to the village, now an established doctor. As he passed by the forest, he saw the girl once again, in the same clothes, wearing the same weary eyes, and holding the same bouquet. When the young man asked around about her, the elders of the village were quite aroused by this information. After all, the description of this mysterious girl was exactly like that of the sacrifice several decades ago... With the exception of the bouquet.

One day, this peaceful small village was suddenly plagued by an incurable disease. In their utmost desperation and hopelessness, a brightly dressed figure appeared in the village. She was "the girl". Carrying her bouquet of flowers and surrounded by flowers, she walked directly into the young doctor's household and declared this: "I have a way to save the villagers... Have you ever heard of fighting poison with poison? This bouquet here holds a very strong poison, left behind by the creature that terrorized the village decades ago. If I were to put a few petals of this flower into the water system for just a few seconds, the water would be contaminated by a mild poison. Once the villagers drink this water, they'll become unconscious, and these butterflies around me will suck out all of the poison in their bloodstream... However, there is one condition to using this method. In order to save so many human lives, someone from the village must perish in exchange, and that person must be you, one of great heart and will... Do you accept my offer?" The young doctor hesitated, "I'm a doctor... My job is to cure people, even at the cost of my own life." "Very well," mused the girl, "I shall fulfill your wish right now..."

And with that, she simply disappeared into thin air, leaving behind the dumb-struck doctor. In the end, it turned out that she had engulfed the evil creature with her body and, in the process, became an actual deity which neither ages nor dies.

Uh... I should point out that the first and second paragraph don't connect... <.< >.>'' What I meant was that the village was peaceful... The girl wasn't supposed to be born until after the creature came. X-X' Also, I said that the girl's lips were always pale, the red on her lips afterwards was stained from the creature's blood, or its curse in a way.
