Those of you following my blog at vinegaria.blogspot.com/ already saw this one. It was done over a month ago for a school project. Though I do love this theme and been reading about whole geisha culture since many years (I'm known to collect hundreds books about this topic). I wonder why I actually have so few pictures showing this.. Well, maybe that will change. And yes, I didn't follow the exact image of traditional geisha on purpose. I just wanted to have some fun with this theme.Anyway. Pencil sketch and Photoshop CS2 + Painer XI (linework, it's so much better for linework). Some textures are custom made ones, some are found on sxc.hu and similar.

The kimono is absolutely stunning!!! Love the abstract background, and the flowers are very nicely detailed!! I really like the colour combination of greeny blues and the cool reds. The texture and details of the kimono look very real and rich! Excellent Job!

This is beyond words. The textures, the patterns, the dark contrasted with light. What strikes me most is the delicacy of the flowers framing her face. Exquisite. I've never considered buying a print before, but I'm moving into my own house in a few months and will need something to adorn the walls. This will do nicely
