Another one of my characters, This ones wasn't remade like all the others, just updated in my newer style.
This guy has a sad story
And, yes, to everyone cringing at the stark contrasts of the ugly blues and bright pink, it is supposed to be like that - Really gross.
This was fun to experiment with.

In both the original and this one, I notice that the "horns" on the tail aren't attached. Is there a special meaning behind that, too?

The tail spines are not originally his, he wasn't born with them - none of the dragons in my world are. (Or were, they're all dead, except him, for sooommmme reason )
They were given to him by the one he serves - Za'Atun (Hence his 'title').
They're held on by means of some arcane energy, and are brutal weapons, and are for soul-harvesting. They always rotate slowly around the tail, and the soul energy can be seen in, what is essentially a giant synapse, while transferring from the thorns to the body and then to the soul vessel, which he calls his "Box of Souls" in a joking manner. Over time though he's used them less and less for harvesting, as he's become more powerful so he can more easily take a soul from a weakened creature by just fighting with tooth and claw.
He's got kind of a long, darker story to him. He's actually incredibly friendly and hates the burden and forced service of this "Z'Atun", and does all he can to save creatures and allies, even though he's relatively weak and worn down.

I'm planning on doing a written story but also a graphic 'novel', because I'm better at drawing.
I've never thought about posting some of the story parts I write, maybe should for extra criticism!
