Photoshop is becoming increasingly frustrating to learn. So instead of getting into more complex stuff, I went back to the basics and am going to practice there for a while.
Here's a quick greyscale study.

WOW!!! I could never draw anything like this! The eyes, shining green from the gray really stand out!
