I am the artist."Wash Me Clean"
What's a Sunday afternoon without a painting of Will Graham in full exaltation, reveling in a spray of blood? To me, it's a day without sunshine.

I'm not sure if I understood this correctly from your description, but did you originally do this in color and then greyscale it? If so I have to say - although I haven't seen the colored version - the greyscale is extremely fitting for the mood, particularly all that shadow that gives it this dark, painful feeling. It's almost like he's wishing the rain would wash away what Hannibal has left him with, and instead it just runs off his body, washing blood in unending diluted rivulets, unable to effect the darkness that is settled inside him. Not dissimilar to how it probably was for Hannibal in that last ep, I imagine - wanting to wash himself clean of Will's effect on him and his emotions, of Will himself, and finding himself unable to change that which has simply become part of him.
Also, the motion of the driving rain is very effective - it really gives that sense of hitting his skin with force; thick and cold and saturating.

...and I lost the color version because my computer died! I truly enjoy painting blood, and it was quite bloody - but it had too much color - I needed the stark it up a bit. So, what you see as driving rain is actually Hannibal's blood, shooting from his neck. It's Will's baptism...in the blood, he is clean now to become a murderer himself. Blessings from his benefactor, a spray of bodily fluids to express consummation.
Another interesting comment from you - so glad you've engaged me. Thank you.

I love this. A little role reversal from the season finale. Beautiful!

Love your name. I have a piece here called Canto Tre, a direct reference to Inferno.
Thank you.
