Description
This is my new mythology character, who is most likely going to be Greek. (Unlike Saturn, who is Roman.)

So first of all, his name. You can call him Gallie for short, but his full name is derived from Ganymede, a Trojian boy in Greek mythology. He is said to have been so beautiful, that Zeus came down from Olympus just to kidnap him and bring him back to be the winebearer to the gods themselves.
[Ganymedes] was the loveliest born of the race of mortals, and therefore

the gods caught him away to themselves, to be Zeus' wine-pourer,

for the sake of his beauty, so he might be among the immortals.

Now Galliemede is not a mortal like his name sake, he's a nymph, or to be more specific, a dryad. A dryad is typically a female spirit who resides over a grove or a forest, and is usually born within a tree which watches over and lives in. (In this instance, Gallie is a boy, which is extremely unusual, but not impossible in mythology.) The lives of the Dryads are critically connected with that of their trees; should the tree perish, then they die with it. If this is caused by a mortal, the gods will surely punish him for that deed. The Dryads themselves will also punish any thoughtless mortal who would somehow foolishly or cruelly injure the trees.

In any case, that's the basis of what Galliemede is. I swear I'll draw a full body ref for him soon-ish. (3
