I am challenging myself to draw 1 Chibi a day for the year of 2021. This project was attempted before in 2015 but certain people ruined it for me. I refuse to be put down this year, and I am determined to achieve my goal!

Today's subject: The Digimon Emperor from... well, you get it.

Man, I adored the hell out of this character back when I was a kid. And as an adult so many years later, I feel they did a very sloppy job at his redemption. It was like a complete switch flip into another person, rather than a reasonable transition from one personality into the other.

I have literally done hours long rants about how this could have been done better. He could have still kept his wit and edge while being a kind person. They didn’t have to turn him softer than a frosted donut.

But then again, the whole show was flawed writing in a nutshell, wasn’t it?
