This design is still a work in progress but the idea is there !
Veactim will probably evolve depending his moveset.

Toreavid and Buliath both evolve from Veactim.
They are inspired by :
1) David and Goliath ;
2) Victim, bully and protector ;
3) Corrida ;
4) Theseus and the Minotaur.

Veactim is a frail and uneasy pokémon. It is very easily eaten by predators in the wild. Sometime, a Veactim will become deeply traumatized and start picking on other Veactims.
This one will evolve into a powerful Buliath.

Buliaths love to band and bully weaker pokémons. They enjoy beating other pokémons to a pulp or ro scar them for live.
They have an amazing sens of orientation and they could find the way even in a maze.
Legend has it that they use their red tails to find the way back. Other says they use it to find their loved one.

It is rare for a Veactim to resist a Bulliath. When one does, it is a clear sign that it will evolve into a Toreavid.
These pokémons always protect the weaker. Their specialty is fighting ennemies that are bigger than they are.
Toreavid has a special grudge against Bulliath.
To beat a Bulliath, Toreavid uses 2 strategies. The first one is to swing it red fluffy tail around to anger it. Once a Bulliath has lost its cool, it's easier to defeat.
The second strategy is to use its tail as a flail to throw rocks at it.

The issue with all this, is that nowadays, Bulliath are hunted down by Toreavids for sport. The bully has become bullied.
Also poachers hunt Bulliaths for their tails which sells really well on the black market.
As such, Bulliath have become a rarity in the wild. This led to less Veactims evolving. And with fewer Toreavids to protect them, Veactims have become an endangered specie.
