Description
The day Nebula hatched, and the day she was discovered.

I’m wanting to try a way of storytelling that I feel will work best for me (since I don’t have the focus required to plan and create a comic ;-; ) so this’ll be a test for that. I’ll be writing the story connected to the image here if you want to read it, or you can just look at the art and move on.

Leaves rustled in the evening wind as footsteps could be heard against the grassy path. The figure traveled through the trees, as though it was looking for something. As it came up to the clearing, the figure paused before creeping closer, between the bushes. Pushing the leaves aside, an odd sight came into view; the shell of an egg, split in two with shards scattered in the grass, as well as a few feathers. In the middle of the debris lay a tiny, light purple kaabii with silvery feathered horns(?) on her head, sleeping somewhat peacefully amongst the egg shards. The little kaabii shifted in her sleep as the figure crept closer, a slight smirk on its face. It had found exactly what it needed.

The figure slowly crouched down and very gently picked up the new-hatch kaabii, being careful not to wake her. It held the kaabii close, looking around for any sign of a threat, or the ones who had left the hatchling there, before slinking back into the shadow of the trees and towards where it had come from, the little kaabii in its arms.

If you’ve read this far, I hope you liked the little story, this is my first time writing like this and, while it’s not the best, I think it turned out alright. I’ll definitely be writing and drawing more for Nebula’s story, as well as Sunni and some other tales for my Kirby AU.
