Kali and Devi of Team EmberSpark (Explorers of Sky)

Devi is a fairly shy Vulpix and lacks self-confidence. She was born with only three legs and one of her tails never grew in properly, so she has always been viewed as weaker than others as a result. She admired rescuers greatly as a child and was always fascinated by legends and myths. When she got older, she always imagined becoming a rescuer herself, exploring fantastical places and finding new treasures, but because of her physical limitations, she was always told it was unrealistic, leading to her lack of confidence in her skills. Despite this, finding her relic fragment and meeting Kali were what pushed her to finally give her dream a shot and prove both to others and herself that she was just as capable as everyone else.

Kali was once human, but has zero memory of their identity as a human other than their name. He was born intersex, and as a result doesn’t care what pronouns others use (though they do lean towards he/him) (hence their paws as a shinx matching both males and females). As a human, he was the middle child and was practically invisible to those in their life, leading to them acting out to get attention. While they don’t remember this, Kali does still love practical jokes and can be one to leap before he looks, rushing into situations especially if it means helping someone else out. Despite his hasty nature, he is one to just go with the flow in general.
