The red background itself brings out the picture with much more detail than if ya just left it white. Makes it more dynamic yaknow?
Just like how horror movies bring out their posters. Except this isnt horror.

I used red background mainly because I associate a color to each character (Octoling: Red, Annie: Pink, ect... xD)

Yeah, well that's just my thought on it. The only thing that seemed iffy for me was the fingers but that's a pain for a lot of artists, believe me.
Anyways, I hope you make more traditional art in the future! They're all really nice from what I've seen.
