Just a few headshots i did of my OC Whippet.I drew them in pencil on regular drawing paper, then scanned them in and created a parchment-kinda thing on photoshop
I hope you like it
I'm actually VERY proud of this picture, in it's entirety. I loved the headshots by themselves, but I think the parchment just makes it. Tell me what you think

Oh well... For the poses and such of my type of dragons (there are countless types), I suggest you study the anatomy of the creatures whos' anatomy is similar to dragons. I study wolf, snake, and cat anatomy to get a better idea of how the body is supposed to look and move in different poses. For wings... wings are harder because there are so many types. I study bat wings usually, and birds wings when the design calls for it.
As for detail and design, the design is not limited whatsoever. However, the details (wrinkles, scales, feathers, muscles, etc) should give a sense of realism. Folds of skin, muscles showing underneath the skin, rough scaly texture, etc. Of course, not everyone goes for realism. But I'm giving you my opinion 
And there are just OODLES of tutorials out there. Not just for dragons, but also for the creatures i mentioned before, which help with drawing dragons. I hope I helped a little
