UPDATE: A retry is coming soon for the Whitefall contest as the song is not one of the theme songs and doesn't qualify for the contest. It's just a gift art for Cylithren
This is my entry for Cylithren 's Whitefall contest 
I chose Tenred and for the song I was inspired by No More Dance by the Hungarian band Nox, the English version. I hope that it's not a problem that chose other than the ones in the profile because I thought the one I chose fit more - it's all about being creative after all!(If you mind, then the contest entry in the title will be changed to Gift) I listened to the Hungarian version primarily but it's available in English here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdKJWA…
(The song's meaning is around the same, expressed with different lyrics, so I got the same inspiration from both...)
As for the lyrics, the fire theme is in the original Hungarian version, unfortunately it's not really there in English, but this contest is supposed to be international so I should link the English version. (In the original there is a verse which translates to 'When the fire attacks you claw, maybe you can escape if you fight', and I came up with this fiery scene.)
Why I have chosen that song, well, 'fiery' is the word that best describes Tenred and the song and I can imagine the character as a savage warrior

However, this doesn't qualify for the contest ^^' The whole point of it was to base it off of a characters theme song, not find one you think fits him (And the song actually doesn't fit him at all ^^' that's why you had to base it off the songs I wrote in the description since I made the characters. )

Yeah that's understandable but there were others too who did not get the point so I guess you need to be more clear next time if you organize a contest... as actually mine was not the only 'wrong' entry... ^^' (And I think the contest journal should be updated with this clarification so people won't submit more incorrect entries) But nevermind, you can still consider it a gift. ^^'

Yes, but they didn't know. You said you did it on purpose ^^' So I excused if i was misunderstood, but I think my journal was pretty clear on what it was about though.
"The theme of this contest is that, theme. Their theme songs and the characters's personal theme songs and why you think that was chosen for that character. Why does Sirla have those theme songs, and why does Tenred have those? Be creative, be inspired by the songs! You can either draw one, or more characters and base it off more of their theme songs. The main point is to be inspired by one of the theme songs and why that was chosen for that character"
I just think that some people read too quickly sometimes.

I did not do it on purpose, I just read the descriptions of the other contest entries and read all the comments below the contest journal when my picture had already been finished... and realized you have already told somebody that their entry is not correct for the same reason as this one. I felt so stupid when reading that ._. So when I uploaded the picture I was already aware but not when making it.
(I was just kind of confused because you first disqualified that entry - I don't remember whose - then you said you consider qualifying it again, because s/he was not the only one to 'misunderstand' the contest. At this point I was totally confused if I should upload my entry as an entry or simply as a gift... I advise you to be more decisive next time in such matters and if you decide to change your mind for whatever reasons, please update the journal so that others know if the rules have changed. If for example, you choose that specific 're-qualified' entry as winner at the end of contest, it would be unfair for the other participants who actually listened to the given theme songs. So please re-read the comments you made on the other entries, I remember the song's name was Mighty Rivers Flow... I know I cannot win since the song I chose does not fit your character but before I write gift art on my entry you need to decide whether that other entry is excluded or not, because then all such entries should be disqualified. And the other participant should also know about it. It is just all about fairness now.)
So, oops I failed at this but as only one entry is allowed per person and I wouldn't have the time for another drawing anyway, I guess I need to wait for the next contest. If you will hold any... ^^' But then I would pay more attention to the description... ^^'

When entering a contest, what matters is what is said in the journal itself.
I first disqualified it since it was a one case only, but then when a friend of mine did the same I decided it was fine, I'll let it pass but when it's on purpose it's different. I asked some other people, they said the journal was fine and informative just as it was when I posted it. It's different when it's on accident, and on purpose, keep that in mind.
Read through the journal again, it clearly states what you need to do. The other two have very small chance of winning anyway since the song doesn't fit all that well with the character.
And you can re-enter if you want to, I appreciate you taking your time to draw this.

Ahh, neither did I. I've only got okamiden for my ds. I managed to find it for 20$ in a gamestop. I can't believe it was only 20$. But yeah, okami is a pretty expenssive game nowadays.
