I had a husky wolf mix. Just the expression of your husky's eyes reminds me of him. ^_^
Beautiful picture, by the way.

I read your note before the message I replied to. I'm glad your got to see Zero. He's such a great dog, gets along great with my Chihuahua and Shit-zu.
I took the picture with a Nikon D60 digital SLR camera I bought last year. Great camera. I have always been into taking pictures. I did aerial photography for a friends company for a while. I had a darkroom in my house when I was younger, developed all my pictures. It was a lot of fun. I have thousands of black and white photos. I am more into photographs, I don't have the artistic gift to do it by hand.

Haha. I have some cheepy Kodak to take my pictures with.
But, indeed, I love photography, too. My camera, now, doesn't take very quality pictures, but our "family camera" amazing. That's the one I use for my photography shots. I was the photographer for my sister's senior pictures. Everyone couldn't believe that a professional didn't take them.
Developing your own pictures??? That sounds like a heck of a lot of fun!!! I've never seen a darkroom, all except what's on Tv. But it sounds soooo cool!

Hey Janelle,
Yeah, the darkroom stuff was great, taught me a lot about photography, what to shoot to get the best results, and how to turn a so-so shot into something good through developing it a little different.
I took photos at a friends wedding and he ended up using half of mine over the one their hired guy took. I have also done a lot of aerial photography for another friend that owned a company. The plane banking and me hanging out a small window!! Now, that's a commitment!! haha
Hope all is well with you.

Wow. That sounds like it's a lot to know. But a lot of fun, too. My step-sister wants to be a photographer and my dad thinks I should become one. So, we can relate...but I don't know if we're skilled enough to know what shot gets the best results.
Haha. My mom was hired to be a photographer at a wedding. She wanted to take me along to get some experience. But, hanging from a window to take pictures...sounds a whole heck of fun...and exlirating...and scary. 0.o ! That sounds soooooo amazing! Did you get scared or...hmmmmmm...nervous? I would. Haha.
All is well. It's been well since you've sent me that first note. I hope all is well with you, too.

Photography is great, I'm sure you have a good eye for it. If you have talent in the arts, it usually spans many types. A good camera just makes it easier to get exactly the shot you want. It all comes with practice.
Hanging out the window of the plane, I was more afraid of dropping my friends $ 10,000 camera and lens, I really wasn't concerned about falling out!! (that's what seat belts are for
I'm happy your doing well, keep rockin'

I try my best in photography. I use the zoom and focus. Lol. It seems like there are a lot of good photographers, though, so it seems like a pretty competetive field. Well, art seems so all around.
Well, geez. That does seem like comitment! Lol. I have a small fear of heights. I mean, minute. They make me uneasy. Hehe.
Wow, I made someone happy just by being well. That doesn't happen much. Lol.
And I'm rockin' every day. Hope you are, too!

I lost your last post, sorry
Anyway, birthday was good. When you get to my age, you don't like them coming so often!! My kids and family all called, my wife and I went out for Sushi with my sister in law. I don't usually eat Sushi, but got into it. Raw tuna is the best. We found a little out of the way restaurant that specializes in it, they were great. Will have to go back again.

Oh! Sushi! I never had it. Lol. I'm glad you enjoyed your birthday, though. I've been told Bdays are less welcomed when the older years come.
Once again, happy belated bday! XD Later yet. :3 I still need to figure out what I should draw you...
I'm sorta surprised at my job. I work in a bakery in a grocery store as "Baker's Apprentice" as I call myself and I work with two other guys. The one moved section and now is in the deli. Well, they decided to move a guy from stock into bakery and told me to train him. I'm still trying to master the job myself. I'm like, "Oh no...the kid's cursed." But he's been doing pretty good.
Haha. Anything interesting with you?

I was never a fan of the idea of eating raw fish, but it was really good. Tuna is the best. Sushi has to be fresh and prepared correctly. The more exotic stuff I can do without (octopus, etc.)
I worked in a grocery store when I was a teenager, the dairy department!! We were right next to the bakery, the smell of the bread baking used to drive me crazy. Couldn't wait for break to have some hot bread.
Sounds like your in a supervisory roll at work, they need to give you a raise

Raw fish sounds kinda appetizing. I'm just not a huge fan of tuna. I'm more of a fresh water fish...type. Lol.
Haha. I love/loathe that smell. It's so tempting to take a bite...but alas, it's forbiddened. I never get a break, so, I just buy something after I'm done working. I only work 3-4 hours at a time, so, it's not long of a wait.
In another 2 months I'll get a 15 cent raise. I'll be making 7.30 an hour then. Woot! Haha.
I'm so mad at my manager right now. I requested off for my birthday three weeks ahead of time (when we're required at least two), and he scheduled me to work because the kid scheduled on my birthday requested off a week ahead of time. Everyone is like, "Just call off. It's unfair." But, I don't think I will. I'll suck it up.
Anywho, anything new on your watch?

I don't think there is fresh water fish sushi... I may be wrong.. Bass or trout sushi yum!! haha
Hey, you should be able to take your birthday off for crying out loud!! But be careful, jobs are hard to come by these days.. I know, I was out of work for 4 months. I am a general contractor and build commercial buildings. Construction in general in Florida is real bad right now. I was very lucky to find something when I did.
So sometimes sucking up to the boss isn't a bad idea.

I think of the hard working times each time I go to work. I'm very thankful to have a job. I guess I'm lucky in two ways with my job. Lol.

And thank you. I love Birthday wishes. The one guy I used to work with kept wishing me Happy Birthday today. He must have said it...5 times.
Yes, I'm the 1.7. Lol. I hope as I grow, my spirit grows younger and my wisdom grows older. I haven't been able to enjoy my teen years, I have no life. Lol.
I did enjoy my birthday. I enjoy today too. I've been in the most amazing mood! ^o^

Well, we're both March babies. I found out today my first grandchild (my oldest daughter and her husband are expecting) is going to be a girl. My wife is up in Gainesville celebrating with her. Not that a boy would have been any less loved of course!!
So, what's the hold up on enjoying your teen years!! Everyday should bring something new, you have so many things to experience before you get tied up with being an ADULT!!! Have fun with your friends and get the most out of school and your family. The years pass so fast, you'll miss those days way too soon.
I'm done preaching!! haha
Happy Birthday again, glad you had a good time.
By the way, I am going to see Donald (Buck) next Wednesday, I am going to Tampa on business and will stay overnight at his house.
Take care,

I love March. Hehe. I'm 2 days off of being a Spring Baby. Lol!
That is awesome! I bet she'll be a beautiful child. ^_^
When my mom was pregant with my sister and I, the doctors thought we were boys. Haha. They were surprised when we were born.
Well, my mom usually doesn't let me go do stuff. She says she does, but she really doesn't. My dad is all over us going to do stuff. He enjoys seeing my sisters and I having fun. But, it's hard to make plans because of school and work and homework and all the stuff that keeps teens busy. And my mom wants us be very VERY responsible. I think she wants us to be adults before we are adults. But other than that, I try to enjoy my life. I've been very content lately, and I've gone to the movies with one of my friends. Yay!
Thank you! ^_^
Tampa, eh? That's cool. At least you have a place to stay without paying! Haha.

Have you gotten off school for spring break yet??
It's fine to learn to be responsible, you'll have a jump start on being an adult. But, enjoy being a teen also. It goes by real fast.
Donald lives a half hour north of Tampa. I am just starting a renovation on an adult living facility there, so I should get to see him often over the next few months. My father lives in Tampa too, so we can all get together. I visit my daughter and son in Gainesville Florida often also as I have a project I am building in Ocala which is 30 miles south of Gainesville. It's one good thing about my new job, I can see my family a lot more. I will be on the road three days this week.

My sister has. I'm in High School yet and we don't get those things. We'll get out of 1 day of school for Easter. That's it.
I enjoy my responsiblity, considering my main chore is taking care of my pets. But there are other things like keeping a check book, getting a job (even when we don't need money) and getting our driver's license that she makes us do. I know a lot of that stuff is teen stuff, but, my mom forced us into doing it. My dad is like, "Just go at your own pace." Haha. My parents are split up, if you can't tell. They totally contradict each other. Lol.
We all live around the same area. Middle of PA. Lol.
But that is really cool. I bet it's awesome having that sort of job.

We used to get a winter break in high school if I remember... been a while You probably got some snow days too. Something none of my kids got down here in sunny Florida. But, they did get hurricane days!!
Taking care of pets is a good responsibility. Driving is certainly another. Do you have a car?
I didn't know your parents were split. Do you live with your Mom? My parents split too, but after all us kids were gone from the house.
I've been in Pittsburgh and Philly way back when, never spent a lot of time in Pennsylvania. I only know it is a wide state, took me a long time to drive across it once when I was going from Ohio to New Jersey. My wife and I spent our Honeymoon in the Poconos!

Haha. Yeah. Winter break...Christmas to New Year. And plenty of those snow days! That just makes school longer in the summer. Lol.
That just reminded me. My step-dad's sister just visited us for the first time from Florida in January. She had 2 children, the boy was 8 and the girl was 5. There was snow all over when they came to visit. We had just recieved 8 inches 2 nights before. And that girl...the way she reacted to the snow. SHE WAS AFRAID OF IT! I felt so bad. When we went on a walk, she had me carrying her the entire time and screamed if I tried to put her down. The boy loved the snow. He kept throwing snow balls at me. Hehe. It was his second time around snow. But, it amazed me...just amazed me that they never saw snow before. That really made me aware to how vast the world really is.
When I get my license, I'll be sharing our family's junker with my sister. Yay! But I've been peering around at cars for sale. Some I can buy with the money I have saved and still have a good amount of money left over! I'm like, "Whoa...that's awesome."
Feeding my pets is a great chore. I swear we own a minature petting zoo. We have 4 goats, 2 peacocks, 3 fan tail pigeons, 4 golden pheasents, 1 rooster, 2 ducks, 3 dogs, 5 cats, and 2 chinchillas. I love that chore though! Yay animals! ^o^
Yeah. I live with my mom. I wouldn't want to live with my dad, even though I love him greatly. My mom owns 5 1/2 acres of land...and over half of it is covered in woods. I LOVE IT! I feel so close to nature. At my dad's, he lives in a neighborhood. Nice place, but all my childhood friends moved away. So, there isn't much there to do but walk around. We do that a lot, my dad and I. It's our greatest bonding time. But I enjoy walking around where I'm surrounded by trees and animals better.
I haven't been much of anywhere other than PA. When I was 5, we spent a weekend with my aunt (my dad's sister) when she lived in Georgia (3 years before she moved to Florida). Then, when I was 7, my mom took us to Ocean City, Maryland. 3 years after that, my mom took my sisters and I to Ocean City, Maryland again. Summer of 2 years ago, I went to Virginia for a Christian gathering type thing. NEVER AGAIN! And that same year, my step-dad's friend took my mom, step-dad and I along with to Outter Banks, NC for a week. That was the best summer ever. But, I was never to Florida. I really wish I was, though, in good weather (no hurricanes, PLEASE!). Lol. My aunt promised me that my sisters and I will get to spend a summer with her one of these years.
Wow...that's a lot to read...I'm sorry! Lol. I'm really in a talkative mood. Hehe.

I had a nice time with Donald and his wife on Wednesday night. He is feeling a lot better and getting his shoulder back in shape with physical therapy. The band is going to rehearse the end of May and be back on the road the beginning of June. I will be working on a project near where he lives, so I should be able to see them more often in the coming months.
I am going to visit my other brother and also my mom this weekend. I'm getting tired of driving so much!! Always have some good music to go though, makes the time go by faster.

Haha. Good music is always good to have at hand. I listen to some great stuff lately to put me to sleep. ^_^ And I wake up humming it. I bet you could never guess what it'd be. Lol!
That's awesome to hear of your brother's recovery! I'm sure they're ready to get back on the road. I know quite a few fans are for them. June seems so far away, but so did April in Febuary and heck, it's a week away. Planning any April Fool's pranks? Haha. Just kidding.
At school, we have this library club that hosts an event in the library each year called Cappuccino Connection. People buy cappuccinos and go around to different stations, that promote books, made by the members of library club. I'm a member of this club and this event was today (March 27th). My group made a station this year called Unexpected Encounters which is includes Godzilla, Ghosts, Aliens, Vampires, Werewolves and so on. It was so cool because people could get pictures taken as Godzilla or an Alien. Haha. And my one friend made a sound track for our station, so, "Godzilla" (the song of course) had to be on it.
We were taking pictures of some school mates when my American History teacher, Mr. Klinger, decided to get his picture taken. Mr. Klinger is awesome in that 1. He teaches the best subject other than art and 2. He's one of the only teachers at school who even heard of your brother's band (There are 2 others). I told him about me going to see BOC and how much I love the band. Anyways, when he was getting his picture taken, "Godzilla" started playing and Mr. Klinger was like, "Hey! I hear Remphrey's (my last name, of course) music!" And I was like, "Yup! The best kind."
Oh no! Another long message to read! DARNIT! Lol. I just enjoy telling stories. I hope you don't mind reading them.

But my dad was always like, "Wait for me so we can listen to them together!" Our like in music really brings us together! Haha. We can sit for hours talking about music, sharing music and just listening to music! ^_^ It's fun, too!
But thanks so much for the music!
Haha. I just remembered a question my dad requested to ask you! He was wondering if you enjoy listening to your brothers music and, like, hearing it on the radio and such.

Luckystiph In reply to sayhellotoart [2009-03-31 13:28:07 +0000 UTC]
Sure, I enjoy listening to his music. I liked the old days when they were writing a lot of songs. Each member would write songs and make a rough demo of it in their home studios, then bring them to the band to see if they liked them enough to work on or record. I'd get to hear the rough cuts, then the rough studio mixes, and then the final mixes that became the albums. They were doing an album a year in their heyday, so there was always new stuff to listen to. I also got to see the different designs for the album covers before they were picked.
I'm amazed that we still hear their music on the radio. Thank heaven for the classic rock stations. 35 years ago, I would never have anticipated they would still play their music regularly. Also, Don't Fear the Reaper is one of the most used songs in both movies and television.

That is so cool. I wanna learn the guitar and play in a band. I don't have fabulous vocals, but I can sing back up! But I dream of writing songs...^_^ And it sounds like the band experience is AWESOME! I'd love hearing that stuff. I bet it makes one appreciate what actual work is really put into a song. ^_^
Oh, there's this other question I remember my dad wanting me to ask...but he wants me to ask your brother. I told him I would eventually, but I didn't want to seem so bothersome! XD
Haha! I hope Classic Rock Stations are around a good long time. ^_^ I remember the first time I heard Don't Fear the Reaper on the radio! I was working on the back drop for the Home Coming pictures with this girl and we were listening to the radio. I was surprised to hear BOC on the radio, but I wasn't quite a fan, then. But the girl, she was like, "OH MY GOD! This is my favorite song!" And we ended up singing it together. And every time we met up in the hallways, we'd sing it! What fun!
Haha! My mom had bought us a playstation 2 last year (meaning 2007) for Christmas. With it came a game called Sing Star Pop. I didn't like too many songs on there, so my mom was kinda let down when I didn't join the family in singing. So, a few weeks later, my mom hands me a box. It reads "Sing Star Amp" I'm like, "Sweet." She said, "Read the back." Hehe. She bought it for me because it had "Don't Fear the Reaper" on it. But that song was never really was my favorite song. Lol. It's just the most popular. I still love hearing it, though! ^_^

I liked it. Something in it seems a little distracting. My dad and I both agreed that it was the percussion. But, it was a very nice song. One of those fast paced mellow songs...ish (a case of Janelle confusing herself while confusing others). Ok, review. I enjoyed it. The drums were distracting but the song had a smoothing sound to it that would make someone get up and dance (maybe that's just me!). Lol. ^_^ My thoughts on it! Yay! XD

I'm glad you liked it. The percussion is electronic drum machines, not a real person, which I certainly prefer the real thing.. drum beat machines are much easier and faster to use when trying to record a demo. Donald is quite an accomplished drummer if he needs to be, but doesn't do it much any more. He played drums before he was a guitarist. Also played the accordion!!! (don't let him know I told you that...)

You're right, real drummers sound better. But hey, if you need something done quick, then you work with what you got. ^_^
I think I read some where that your brother was a drummer before a guitarist unless I remember wrong...
Do you play an instrument? I don't...I haven't played my guitar lately...although it's right beside my bed. XD I wake up strumming it sometimes. Lol.
