Description Interpretations of legendary creepypasta Slender man, the favourite horror story on the internet that people still believe in!

Slenderman is often though of as a paranormal being who snatches people away if he is witnessed, so if you see him, you have to pretend not to see or somehow erase your memory if you hope to live. He is characterised as a tall and slender figure with limited or no facial features and many arms or tentacle like appendages.

I like the idea of a slenderman that not only murders, but actually does damage to society as a whole by puppeteering important individuals like politicians, this is why I associate slenderman to webs and strings as well. The cruel thing, is if he were to puppet people, noone could do anything about it, thus putting more pressure on the situation where if you DO spot him, you SHOULD report to authorities, but would you at the cost of your own life?

Gimmefeedback: You can comment on anything that comes to mind, but what do you think about the design of slenderman (in relation to what internet draws him as) and the colour usage? anything that looks off in anything? what could make it better?

Yeah, I almost didn't do this project because I kept being frightened in the night with my mind churning on about slenderman constantly.

I always keep my head down when I'm walking alone at night.

I like it but that tree looks odd to me, if it's closer to the camera would the light hit the inside of it as much as it does? Or would it just hit the edge, the part which is exposed to the light? At the moment the tree looks on the same plane as the Slenderman, who looks really good by the way I'd personally tone down the gradient values on the tree, maybe make it darker apart from the very edge, as right now it looks jarring.

Love the composition though, really draws you in

Yeah, I struggled with the tree, I kept getting confused with reflected light and stuff, at the time it was allmost 100% black, but after tinkering with the textures the value went up a bit. I think you are right, so I will go back and fix it. I also think i will darken all the edges just a bit more since I kind of like that, similar with what happened on them mirrormask pciture. I feel the eye can just wander off this image as it is. thank you for the feedback Paul, it is very appreciated

Very interesting. I think this is pretty good so far with the lamp adding a reference. But the tree could be a bit more defined, meaning, try to make sure people realize that it is a tree and that it's closer than the the other objects. Other than that, I think you're on the right track!

Yes, I will get to rendering the tree, as I haven't started the detailing stage yet until I know the composition will work. Thanks for the comment though
