This is a very well developed character! I'm very impressed; you usually see lots of mary-sues/marty-stus going around. He has a great balance of good points and bad points too! I'm a stickler for less is more, good colours etc. Your colour scheme is fantastic, less than 5 main colours and it's not made of all the colours in the rainbow. As far as design goes, I often see characters with far too much going on, way too many items etc. Despite the odd hat and shoes, he's really not insanely complicated at all! One might be able to... dare I say, draw him?! Fantastic character, kudos to you and your friend for coming up with such a grand design!
